Ciro Galli I think he knows how to use these stuff you mentioned...He obviously knows, he beat the game without even struggle a bit...:) good work there mate!!
*Exactly! It was available even in the 3 Genesis Shinobi games and it was very, very fun to complete the games without shurikens too, just for the extra challenge!*
Great , like watching these TAS run's to see whats possible in the game. would have been nice if you also done a score run so completed the bonus stages for extra points. would like to see what max score is possible.
Amazing! and it's funny how do you push the hardware to the limit showing so many enemies on screen. System 16 does a good job there with almost no slowdowns :)
Pretty good, pretty good. But it could be way better. FYI, in the bonus stages, when you press the attack button, you actually shoot shurikens, and if you take out all the ninjas you get an extra life. Shinobi also uses a third button that when pressed, it casts a magic that kills everything on the screen or considerably reduces the energy of the bosses. And for those that probably won't understand (there's always somebody) this-is-a-joke.
hey sup man, im planning to do a Mandara Glitch tutorial one of these days. as soon as i figure out how to use save states in MAME. lol. planning to record my hands (using a Madcatz TE fightstick) so you can see the joystick timing i use to navigate through Mandara. without the timing, Mandara will spit you back out almost all of the time. i will also talk about the urban legend about Mandara that i heard as a kid back in the day.
ok, but could explain what do you mean by that, I never heard of "tool assisted" game, I used to play that game a lot when I was a kid (must admit a was pretty good in it too) but this walk-through is sick :D
Mariusz Rosiński TAS stands for Tool Assisted Speedrun. In simple terms, it can mean anything from playing "Frame by Frame" (i.e. the screen moves 1 frame per keypress) to playing the game at 5% to 25% slowdown. This allows you to perform very impressive feats and almost have superhuman reflexes. It can make for some very glitchy, very hilarious speedruns. Example would be Mortal Kombat where the players usually pick Shang Tsung, then morph into someone else while doing the fatality which messes up the colors and stuff. Mario games have always been a splendid show of "Bouncing on every enemy in sight" in the most hilarious of views. While Metroid have displayed extremely amazing feats and is still one of the most widely used games to speedrun - I hear it's also a very good beginners speedrun.
