Savaged Regime has gone to the point where he's improving tracks I already thought were perfect from the start. Pls never stop making Genesis remixes, gecko. I love them all.
... "gecko?" Wait, as in Gecko Yamori? Savaged Regime is Gecko Yamori?! Jolly small world, that, if so. Holy fruits. Unrelated: Your dang icon is dang cute.
miss the High hat and how the two cymbales Splash and Crash are very distinctive and are not playing the same rythm and playing their own thing..! Listen carefully and try to air drum the original it's Godlike... 😍. Just needed Savage Regime Rythm guitare sounds (and if you want :snare and bass drum too wich are very good.) The lead guitare is very well done but the original Synth sound has something magic. just keep it to mix Guitar and keyboard sound like a good Prog metal song.
a year later but idc i have ported a couple x68k tracks to SMPS a couple years back, not fully but eh it was ok enough (tempo is inaccurate, missing vibrato etc., it was fine before SMPS conversion on the YM2612) here are a couple vgms: www.mediafire.com/file/sm9sfpn2tsjqeb2/10_Bloody_Tears_%28Stage_4%29_loop_fixtempo.vgm/file www.mediafire.com/file/wdj0zon4a17lpcp/14_Etude_For_The_Killer_%28Stage_7%29_SMPSport_2.vgm/file
Man, this is how I would imagine this song would sound if Shinobi 3 were a side scrolling beat-em-up. I can imagine throwing people into trashcans near a dock. Excellent work.
Improved basslines and a lead with vigor turns the original from a synth composition into a total shredder. Another instant classic from Savaged Regime!
You never cease to amaze me with your FM sound design. I learned so many new techniques and cool tricks from your videos. I even created a djent guitar tone of my own. I still struggle with finding a purpose for the PSG.
You know the more I listen to this? The more I am convinced that the Meg would be really good in getting all of the MMX games to work on it. Maybe some small changes here and there, but music wise it would easily work.
@@theshyguy1580 Actually it's on CD and Vinyl for pre-order. shop.bitmapbureau.com/collections/other/products/xeno-crisis-original-sound-track-cd shop.bitmapbureau.com/products/xeno-crisis-original-sound-track-vinyl
holy crap! this sounds really damn good. you have real talent. Shinobi III is one of my favorite games of all time so this is definitely a pleasure to hear. Definitely do Streets of Rage III next
If you love this soundtrack, you should check the CapricornX's channel or his soundcloud! He's been doing great stuff with the Shinobi III soundtrack! m.soundcloud.com/video-game-music-arrangements-by-capricornx/sets/shinobi-iii-return-of-the-ninja-master-1
Oh you're back Thank You So Much for this new track..! I'm just a little bit sad about the amazing cymbals sounds composition that i don't hear anymore. I Can not air drum with cymbals like I used to do on this song :/
OMG, I've just discovered this channel. I see you have a Patreon page - Please consider ThunderForce IV - the Sky stage (can't remember the actual name, but it's one of the 4 possible initial stages - the one with a shitton clouds and parallax levels. That level alone is majestic)
Could you please consider rearranging Ayers' Rock or Canterbury Plains from Top Gear 2? Hell, the SNES version's title screen (which is in the Genesis game, but is unused) reversioned by you, would be amazing! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IJn6nRVM8Jg.html

Is there any way to play these on real hardware or in a modified version of the game? Sort of like how they have the enhanced audio for SNES? Edit: Also, whats that lead instrument you use there? Do any Genesis games use it in the ways you do in your songs? Its badass.
Most, if not every Sega Genesis cover/arrange Gecko makes is made with Deflemask, which, while it can be finicky to use, it has a fairly good interface to make Genesis music and can even export a VGM, which then you can have it play in your own Genesis provided you have the tools for it; I'm not sure if Deflemask is completely accurate to the Genesis tho (again, it's a very finicky tracker), but it definitely works well if you're willing to put the effort for it (I, myself, have made a few FM patches with it, which is not much, but hey, it's something :V) As for the lead guitar (and most of the instruments too at that), AFAIK, they are entirely custom made; Gecko is just too good and doesn't rely on many Genesis game patches from the 80s/90s, instead making most of the instruments by himself ;)
Not a VST actually, it's a tracker; it emulates countless systems other than the Genesis, but it's Genesis/Arcade (YM2151 + SegaPCM) and PC Engine emulations are the ones that are the most used in the chiptune circle; it also emulates the NES, the Gameboy and the Commodore 64, but not a lot of people bother with those as far as I've seen
