When I first saw a shiny phantump, I didn’t even catch it, I just ran away. That was the only shiny Pokémon I’ve seen in the wild

i’ve never understood how people thought shinies were glitches as kids, they literally have a unique animation

I remember my first nonscripted shiny pokemon was Sableye in Pokemon X. I found it in the Glittering Cave back in 2014, on Thanksgiving Day of all days, so I was really thankful for that.

I had a similar experience as a kid. Had no clue about shinies until gen 4 when my brother got 2 shiny Zubats, and lost one when his DS's power died. I didn't get a shiny until gen 5 where I was rewarded with a shiny Kyurem. Worth it

I found a shiny Alolan Dugtrio on my copies of Pokémon Sun and Ultra Sun in two completely unrelated situations. In Ultra Sun, I found one in the wild in Diglett's Cave with full odds a few years ago, which I named ThreeStooges. A few weeks ago, though, in Sun, I found one in the Tapu Bulu desert, also with full odds, which I named StoogeRedux. I like to think of them as gifts from my great uncle from Heaven, since he got me Pokémon Sun as a Christmas gift. ❤

Outside of random/gifted shinies, I remember shiny hunting truly started for me back in USUM, with SOS encounters being the main strat. I got things like Zorua, Buneary, Feebas, Grimer-A, Noibat, and Mudbray. I felt like a real champ finally being able to get shinies on my own. It was something I could easily do in the background while doing homework, I liked it. I even remember having solid success with Island Scan, getting stuff like Aggron or Delphox. Before these tactics, it was either Wormhole hunting (which was fun, don’t get me wrong), or go onto the GTS for a shiny I really wanted. Nowadays, Legends Arceus and Violet became my go to shiny hunting games, and I’ve had damn good success with those EDIT: Ngl, I kinda wanna go back to USUM hunting. The idea of having shiny Megas just hit me, and I’m so down for that

Shinies are only worth hunting if they look good

I will never forget my first shiny. It was a Carvaha in Ruby. It was also one of the first I ever saw so I had no idea it was shiny. I just caught it because I liked the green. Then after a while I got into a Trainer battle were I was wondering why it looked different. After some asking around I found out it was shiny. I really wish I would still have it. But the memory is great ^^

Shinies when I'm hunting: Adios. Shiny Maschiff, Lokix, and Sudowudo when I'm just exploring Paldea: Bonjour.

BABY BHILLIP BLAST!!! LOL! Anyways, thats quite a Shiny Pokémon experience Rogue! I am not really a shiny hunter, but I have don't it a bit. I never really had the best luck with shinies too but I failed a couple of times like a shiny Geodude using explosion in X and Y and etc. My First shiny was a Shiny Beautifly in Pearl and I reset the game accidentally forgetting it was in there.😭😭😭 I tried shiny hunting in Sword and Shield for a Wooloo and didn't get it for a week so I quit. But I did get like 100+ shinies in Pokémon Sword and Shield because my friend used the shiny den exploit. And I lost a shiny Kricketot in PLA without saving. The only shiny hunt that was successful was in SV for shiny Scream Tails! That's my Shiny experience! And Release that Poor Illumise😭

I've caught random shinies for years, but Legends Arceus was the first game I've ever got the Shiny Charm. It was such a satisfying feeling. I hunted all kinds of Pokemon. But since it was my first Pokemon, I went out of my way to hunt the Chimchar line, including the Alpha Infernape, and Hisuian Zorua. I got all three, getting the Alpha two weeks before Scarlet and Violet came out, and Hisuian Zorua on the game's first anniversary. BEST.👏 GAME. 👏EVER.👏

My first ever shiny was a Xatu in a max raid battle in Shield, I got real nervous at first because the battle didn't start for a solid minute or so and thought my game crashed but luckily it started up soon after and I was able to defeat and capture it. In Go, I hatched a shiny Galarian Meowth on my wedding day and had it as my buddy on our honeymoon so that was very nice.

I’m sure other people can relate in one way or another. When I was younger and playing White, the first shiny I ever I ever encountered was a shiny Basculin. It used Final Gambit :))

I failed my first shiny today. I was playing scarlet doing an online tera raid battle. I went in to this Dragonite raid and it was SHINY. But these two Koraidon KEPT FAINTING. And if you didn't know, in SV, fainting in tera raids DRAINS THE TIME. Needless to say i lost that Dragonite.

My first experience with shinies was when I was maybe 7-8, Heart Gold. I was running around in the grass in one spot (I don't remember where exactly) because I wanted to level up my pokemon, and I found a butterfree with green eyes, I didn't know what it was, but I knew it was rare, because I had never seen one before. So, thinking you had to damage a pokemon to catch it, I used razor leaf with an overlevelled Meganium and it was dead. My next logical thought? To look for another green pokemon! So, after about 30 minutes of hunting in the grass, I decided there was no more green pokemon there. The next logical option, was to jump in the water, where hardly 3 minutes later I found a tentacool with green spots on it's head, which would meet the same fate. I called them "greens" and looked often. Now, I shiny hunt a lot on that same copy, and others. My most recent hunt was nearly 200 hours for a Yamask, 18,622 in Black 2.

When I was a kid, I was obsessed with shiny Pokémon, but I never got one. But then, I got one, and less than 5 minutes later I found another one, and then I found a third immediately after. Btw, love your content. Keep it up! Almost at 100k subs!

Honestly, I never had much interest in shiny Pokémon, though whenever i do find one randomly in the wild, I’d be willing to catch one

My first shiny was a Shiny Slugma in Emerald, I traded it over to my copy of Ruby for safekeeping, and I went back to get it after Bank came out. One of my siblings reset that copy and all of the Pokemon were gone. I did find multiple shiny pokemon since then, but the most recent that wasn’t in GO was a Jumpluff, it used Momento and killed itself in Violet.

Here’s a shiny story for you. I hunted ever since PLA had the mass outbreaks, my target was Hisuian Zoroark/Zorua and every single outbreak was a failure. It took like a whole year and a NEW GAME for me to finally get my shiny fox boi. And how I got it was doing the Masuda Method in Scarlet and Violet, IT ONLY TOOK 46 EGGS WITHOUT SHINY CHARM! I was so happy 😭

In my first playthrough of Shield when the game first came out, I got a random shiny on release day. I was doing a bunch of max raids in the wild area and I found a Vullaby raid. I was barely paying attention and just on auto pilot, but I caught it anyway cuz I wanted it for the dex, then I checked the summary and saw the red star. IT WAS SHINY. I didn’t even see the sparkles, so I’m lucky to have caught it. I used it on my team the whole game

I remember my firsy shiny in high school. I had never actually beat Firered or Leafgreen, in fact, any Pokémon game, and an upperclassmen who liked video games had encouraged me to play them. On a friday, I was playing games with during our lunch period, and he showed me a Shiny Goldeen that he got in the Safari Zone. And I was like, "Yo that's cool! I want one!" And funny enough, his shiny luck rubbed off onto me, because while I was training in Leafgreen, I found my first shiny near Fuschia City: a Doduo. This shiny, is why I now like to shiny hunt now and then, and I find tons of em by accident in Scarlet and Violet. And, unpopular opinion, this is also why I have a soft spot for green shinies. Hot take, I know.

First shiny I ever encountered, excluding Red Gyarados, was a Zubat in Silver Version. I didn’t understand the concept of shinies back then. Don’t even think the term shinies had been fully adopted yet. So here I was with this gross colored Zubat. I knocked it out. Didn’t know it was special. Looking back it’s a bit unfortunate. Shiny Crobat is solid. Since then I’ve expanded my shiny collection, but most of them come from actually hunting, rather than full odds encounters.

Back in the day, I was a dumb kid and went into the Great Marsh looking for “something cool”. While looking I found a Yellowish Starly. It sparkles and I thought “that’s weird”. It (thankfully) met my criteria for “something cool” and I caught it. Years later, I have a few Shinies, mostly self caught, under my belt (Pidgey, Buizel and Sandshrew, to name a few), and I go into the Great Marsh, with the same criteria, and find a Shiny Bidoof in the exact same spot as the Starly. At this point I am WELL aware of what a Shiny was, so seeing those Dreaded words really upset me. It’s not the first time I failed a Shiny Either, as when I didn’t have an exact gauge on how rare a Shiny was I found a Shiny Smeargle in the Safari Zone in Johto. It burnt through ALL 30 Safari Balls, and I was basically dragged away from it. I wasn’t upset, moreso genuinely impressed that it didn’t run. As an Adult though, I’ve been having a “Shiny Year” in 2023, where I have gotten a ton of my most desired Shinies, some hunts I started for the sake of it, and even a few completely random full odds Shinies. I even found a Full Odds Shiny Nosepass in my 3rd Platinum playthrough, the first time I’ve ever legitimately found a Shiny in Platinum. I finished a 400 Hour hunt for Arceus with a down to the wire catch. I started doing a Masuda hunt for Beldum and finished it the same day. Currently I’m hunting for Dialga in Platinum so I don’t have to deal with Sword or the more involved resets of Alpha Sapphire.

The first shiny I ever saw was a shiny Zigzagoon in Sapphire... didn't know what a Shiny was, so I ran, but it kept knawing in my mind that there was something special about that Zigzagoon. A latter found a shiny Lotad in that same game and made sure I caught it. Then, years, latter, when starting my playthrough of Omega Ruby, I noticed something different about a pokemon rustling in the grass and the way the PokeNav Plus was reacting.... turns out, it was another Shiny Zigzagoon..... which my starter pokemon KOed via a Critical Hit.

I was about 5 when I found a shiny Azumarill in White 2. Of course, kid me thought nothing of it and ran, and I didn't even remember it until at least a decade later. To this day it's the only shiny I've lost, and the only shiny I've found randomly (unless you count those dynamax adventures in the Crown Tundra but I don't count those)

I’m an avid shiny hunter and do love hunting in the switch games. But I would say S/V are the best for many reasons, but specifically because while hatching eggs, you could also hunt for shiny wild encounters. This is where I got the majority of my shinies. This is also where, when hatching for a shiny Froakie in a tucked away cave in Area Zero, I found multiple shinies including 4 back-to-back Greavards. Also finding my first ever wild shiny was probably the most excited I’ve ever been and was probably also one of the dullest shinies that it could have been, being a shiny Ferroseed in Sw/Sh.

My first shiny was a slowpoke in Pokémon Silver on the gameboy, I remember catching and using it for a while then two weeks later I showed my cousin my then shiny slowbro and they went crazy questioning my luck. My last shiny was in S&V (like two weeks ago) by accident I saw shiny forretress in the corner of my vision did a double take and sprinted over to catch it

Ah, that reminds me of my shiny hunting incident. I remember when I was finishing Shield, I was in that foggy forest area behind the Player's house to go retrieve the rusted shield item, and I accidentally ran into a shiny weezing... And yeah, it exploded on me. To say I was devastated was an understatement. I will reclaim it one day, though.

Amusingly, I never got any Shinies that weren't handed to me (as in traded or given in-game) until Generation 7. My first was a Shiny Mareanie that I randomly bred after getting a normal one via the GTS in Sun during an in-game playthrough (this was early in the games cycle, and they were rare), and I was paying it forwards (as in sending a load of Mareanie out to others, over Wonder Trade) and one popped up. I have got a few since then in Gen 7, and in Gen 6, and I have written what can be considered a decent guide on Gen 7 SOS Shiny Hunting made easy.

My first shiny I ever found was an Ultra Wormhole Abomasnow… which immediately killed itself from wood hammer recoil. Then I found a lot in Sword, which I lost because I forgot to put my 14 boxes of Pokémon in Home before i reset the game again, including a shiny melmetal and a shiny zeraora, on top of so many other pokemon that I had for several years

I mean if we’re going for stories, this usually stick out. My multi month search for a full odds shiny Metang in White, without static. I found one of every single shiny available in Giant Chasm before finding any duplicates. This included a ditto which I…imprisoned and then struggled itself to death. Not my finest move. And a Metang, which activated flame body on my Chandelure. Also, not my best move. (Chandelure waited out the rest of the hunt) Eventually though, I did get Shiny Metang, and it was actually quite fun. I was busy watching a play though of Inscryption through the longer periods of the hunt. Pretty good time.

Hello, part time shiny hunter here, my first ever shiny was a random digglet i found in fire red, i will cherish that memory forever, i also got a bit of shinies in Legends Arceus, Scarlet and Violet znd even Pokemon Go, like my first shiny in legends was A FRICKIN ALPHA TANGROWTH, like a million shiny litwicks on litwick community day, and tons of full odds shinies in Scarlet and Violet, notable ones were a Grimer, Shinx, Beartic and a Squakabily.

Since everyone is talking about their first (non-scripted) shiny Pokémon, I'll add to the pile It was my first time in a Hoenn game, Ruby. After getting myself a Makuhita I named Boo and a cute lil Mawile, I encountered my first ever Aron! To make it even more special, it was shiny! I didn't even know it was shiny, bc I looked away, probably multitasking and watching some cool movie, so I didn't see or hear the sparkles. I caught it, not thinking much else apart from, "Adorable, you're my baby now!" And named him Bebe accordingly, adding him as an official member of my permanent team. I later flipped out when spotting the next Aron I compared it to mine, caught it, realized Bebe was a shiny and let out a primal screech, which woke Grandma up from her nap to scold me. I've loved the Aron line and the shiny ever-since, even though it's objectively not a very good shiny. I like to think of the red eyes being like a rogue robot or something.

I first had my shinyhunting experience was in Legends: Arceus, after I found a Shiny Geodude I decided to hunt for more. Now I have more than 4 full boxes of Shiny.

When I was a kid playing Pokemon Silver I thought Red Gyrados was just that a red Gyrados. Didn't think you'd see alt colored Pokemon in the wild by chance. Didn't even know shiny pokemon were a thing til I grew out of it when Pearl and Diamond came out.

The first non hacked shiny I caught was a shiny magikarp. I hunted it at the pokemon villa in battle resort where it is possible to get a level 100 magikarp which I also got. I fished there wondering what the monster of that lake was. Thinking it was some rare pokemon or a legendary like lugia or something ominous.

I’ve always had ridiculous luck with shinies, especially in Swsh, where I found a shiny blipbug as my 2nd ever encounter, and 3 other random shinies over the course of the game and the dlc, a cherubi from a random tree I named D O DOUBLE G (because it’s Pokémon #420, a random shiny Braviary, and random Talonflame

First shiny I caught was a shiny Golbat in mount coronet in Pokémon diamond. I never transferred it out to Pokémon home although I probably could but it’s just sitting on the Pokémon soul silver copy I own to this day.

Way late but my brother challenged me to a Nuzlocke on ORAS early in this summer and my first encounter on route 103 was a shiny Poochyena and then I flaked on challenging him and just played at my own pace because I loved that thing. It died at the elite four last night, didn’t release it but it felt painful.

I remember downloading a ROM of Pocket Monster Gold and playing it before it was released in the States. Yes, I do have my affairs in order lol.

I very rarely shiny hunt and when I do I usually limit myself so I don’t go insane, my most recent shiny in violet was a Ralts from an egg and she’s now a powerful Gardevoir on my main team.

The shiny living dex has been a goal of mine for a while

For my first shiny (and subsequent first shiny fail), I found a female Psyduck in Diamond. I know it was female because that’s the reason I failed it: I was doing a male-only run, and once I saw it was a female (didn’t know about shinies at the time), I ran from it. Then one of my friends told me about shinies, and I wanted to slap my past self. The first shiny I actually caught was a Girafarig in HeartGold. I didn’t have too much shiny luck in Gen 5, aside from a Gurdurr and maybe a couple others. Then towards the end of Gen 6, I did some DexNav hunting in the early routes and got quite a few, including a male Ralts which I promptly evolved into Gallade. However, Gen 7 was where I started getting lucky. I got a shiny Gastly before the first trial, but the rest of them didn’t show up until post game once I started competitive breeding (breeding for good natures and IVs). Some of them included Comfey, Cubone (sorry), Pancham, and even a Machop on the first egg. Then I even found a couple shiny Bewears and Granbulls while grinding in the Poni Plains. Got a few others in SwSh and Arceus, but not as frequently. But Gen 9 was where the shiny luck really started to take off for me. I found my first one (Venomoth) before I got the shiny charm, but once I got it, I started sandwich hunting and getting results; I even found quite a few while just running around the region. Currently I have 111 in Scarlet, with 97 different species. Anyway, sorry for the long history speech, but if you made it to the end, I hope you have a great day.

"so if you have any insane shiny hunting stories-" So in September of 2022, Shiny Mudkip in Pokemon Ruby in either 4 or 5 encounters. Mid December 2022, Shiny Cyndaquil in the Pokemon Crystal VC release in 2 encounters. Literally was thinking when it appeared "do I even want to seriously hunt this?". Christmas Day 2022, Shiny Mewtwo in 122 encounters hunted in an hour. Specifically from 6am to 7am. I think that was a great Christmas miracle (I had to and I'm not sorry tbh). I think in July I finally got phase 1 completed for a shiny hunt of either Teddiursa or Dunsparce in Crystal VC. Since Teddiursa is a 5% encounter in Dark Cave, and Dunsparce is a 1%, I instead got a shiny Geodude. I definitely went over odds, and definitely spent at least 90 hours on it. Like 2 or 3 days ago I was trying to get a good Ditto (which I didn't) in Pokemon Black 2 with a Jolly Abra sync in the lead (so 50% nature chance for Jolly) in Giant Chasm. A random shiny Clefairy appears. So already 1/8192. I catch it in a Heal Ball, and then take a look at it's nature, recording it as a video on my channel so I could you know be a poketuber lmao. I say "I know I had a Jolly synchronizer, but I really want a Modest Nature so it can have a good nature for battling". So that's a 50% chance and then a 1/26 chance. So here's the math: 1/8192*1/2*1/26. That's around 1/425k. The rarest shiny Pokemon I own. And fun fact: it had some downside RNG to: 0 IV in Special Defense, and the wrong ability (50% ability odds, it had Cure Charm which is bad compared to the other ability). So basically except in caves I am extremely lucky. Oh yeah speaking of caves I actually did hunt in the Dynamax Adventures for a Shiny Guzzlord and a lot of other shinies (at least 6), I managed to get it. It's name is Cheeto, and it's trapped in Pokemon Shield because I currently am not playing on my switch lmao

Surprisingly I’ve never shiny hunted before but I’m planning on shiny hunting kirilia soon. I’ve only had four shinys in my life. My first shiny which was shiny baltoy, I found it in a nuzlocke. Shiny shinx which I wound during a nuzlocke, shiny rellor which I got in a tradelocke. And a level 80 shiny camarupt which I got in a tradelocke

I started Shield a couple weeks ago, and I already caught a shiny Budew and a shiny Buneary. Didn't even have to try^^

Literally was just replaying my old White 2 save (messing around on it, re-exploring stuff) Randomly found a full-odds shiny Herdier out of the blue (never did get the shiny charm & probably not ever gonna try lol) Not once did I ever expect to get a full odds shiny in any other gen prior to gen 6 so this was insane asf, and I gotta say...shiny Stoutland kinda slaps ngl

My first game I got a shiny far after I completed it (XY - Luvdisc), then in route 6 of ORAS I got a shiny Tailow, then in Sun & Moon the first Pokemon I encountered in the champion-exclusive was a shiny Granbull. Now, trading, SWSH, and SV have made it easier for me :D

I hunted for a shiny rowlet abaut a month ago for like 4 ish months in violet and like during the last month I had the shiny charm

I've tried shiny hunting before and lost patience after an hour. But here's the weird thing with me. I've had nothing but bs stupid luck to randomly find a shiny when I wasn't looking for one, didn't have the shiny charm, and outside of the scripted shiny encounters. Got a shiny Noctowl in Gold, shiny Butterfree in Crystal, shiny Piloswine in W2 (double grass in Chasm), forgot I got a shiny Darumaka until I evolved it and few more in Sw/Sh, found 5 shinies in LA (by accident), and found close to a dozen in S/V (also by accident). This is all over the years (like 20 years) and I'm still baffled as to why I can only find them when I'm not actively looking for them. Although the shiny encounter rate has gone up in recent games and they didn't put the shiny indicator in S/V like they did in LA (which was a cool gameplay mechanic).

other than the mandatory Gyarados, my first shiny was a shiny Pancham in Y version !! and it was completely by chance, I love him so much !!

My favorite Shiny Pokemon moment is the time I encountered a Shiny Larion during my hunt to catch a Mawilw In Emerald and transferring it to my X and Y. I was surprised and happy as it was my very first Shiny I've ever encountered

In Scarlet I somehow have a full box of shinies. Last Saturday I found 3 shinies within 10 minutes and I was surprised. My first ever shiny was either Grumpig, Golbat, or Qualladin. I forget which one it was but I got each one of them in different games.

So couple of stories. 1)Me and my brother had no idea why there was a red gyarados in gen 2. We weren't paying attention i suppose. 2) I saw a shiny Machop in leaf green. But I was so bad in the game I only had a masterball. I had no money for more. So what i did? Killed it! I thought "Hmmm, I can't trade because I don't have a machamp. And it's a Machop. I can get a cooler pokemon. 3) I started to understand shinies by gen 4 because there was more info. Also the infamous shiny pokemon for level 7 legendary trade in the gts offer. 4) Gen 5 when i got hyped for them because of double grass. It was so much fun! I caught a bunch of shinies that way. Also I remember that one shiny solrock killing Poliwhirl and self destructing. 5) Gen 6 it was the peak for pokemon in general. Literally first shiny I told myself to get? Shiny slurpuff. By then i had online friends to trade with and reach my favorite pokemon

Before I even understood what it meant for a Pokemon to be "shiny" my first encounter/catch was a Green Zubat in Platinum, which was the very first Pokemon game I had. Since then, I've come across quite a few Shinies across the different games I've played; I don't fully Shiny-hunt, but I do like to keep an eye out just in case 😁😅🍀

for a while, i had no interest in shinies, barely even knowing how they work. i didnt even know they existed when i played my first pokemon game(sun). after i got shield though and started seeing people hunt shinies, i wanted to get into it cuz i thought these people were cool with how much time they dedicated to finding these little guys. so i chose skorupi and started my first hunt(RE, no charm). after a few months of on and off hunting, i finally found it and was estatic. i named her Cherry and i love her. she really solidified my love for the pokemon and shinies as a whole. im now a full on shiny hunter today and im even working on shiny living dexes!

I encountered a shiny pikipek but I wasn't paying too much attention since I was on the train so I just fainted it. The shiny form of pikipek doesn't have to many differences, only a change in eye colour and a darker shade of red

I didn't start Shiny Hunting until Pokémon Sun. BUT... I actually didn't have the OG games other than Red and didn't any games until Pearl so my actual first Shiny was a Shiny Psyduck in the original Pokémon Pearl in the Great Marsh back in 2008. Transferred her over to Y and she's now in Pokémon Sword. But didn't know it was full odds because The Shiny Charm didn't exist until Gen 5 until years later. Should've kept her there. It's more rare in the older games! My first hatched Shiny was Beldum in Ultra Moon randomly! Also I'm currently Shiny Hunting in Heart Gold. Currently have 4. Hitmontop, Victreebell, Tangrowth, and just yesterday Farfetch'd! ✨

My first shiny was a Zubat in Heart Gold. I called him Green Boy.

All tho I never shiny hunted. My 1st ever shiny was in Legends Arceus. I saw a bergmite near the place you grab the never melt ice for the Avalugg fight and it turned out to be shiny. And it was the 1st bergmite I saw in the area.

Well I started shiny hunting in scarlet, I succesfuly found a shiny mareep one day after I bought the game. And right after i killed a shiny majikarp.(and there is also that time when i killed a shiny ditto too, but these are my 2 olny shiny fails)

i was helping both my friend and myself since we're both Violet players and my cousin let me borrow Scarlet. when my friend was done trading me the Scarlet exclusives, i received the Shiny Charm and went out to a random spot to see how fast i could get a shiny. i caught my first shiny Lechonk, which was cool, but 5 minutes later I got a shiny Shinx. it's my favourite pokémon line so i was incredibly happy. when i was encountering it, I noticed another shiny Shinx in the background, a completely different spawn from the little pack I got the first Shinx in. that was my first ever double shiny spawn, and it was with some of my favourites.

my first game was gen 6 but my second game FireRed i got a shiny caterpie first route somehow but i didnt get another shiny until like gen 8 and then got 3 shinys in pokemon scarlet

My first shiny was Grookey in Pokemon Sword. But my most insane story was in Brilliant Diamond. I had made a new save file because i wanted to play through the game again. I chose Chimchar as my starter, and i wanted to use a Starly. So, i ran into the grass at the route above Sandgem town, and the first Pokemon i encountered was a shiny Starly. I saw it, and i realized it looked different than one i saw on another route. And then it sparkled and i almost screamed. It was my first full odds shiny, and i was so happy. I named him Galveston and i stll have him to this day🥰 (btw i found it at like 6 in the morning)

So this one time I had a shiny Corvinight and I really grew a bond with it so I trained it up. Got it to level 100 and did a couple of events with it, and my brother traded it with a level one Charmander.
