Imagine if there were any fish or dolphin gettin thru that prop :(

Most props can kill, I know of quite a few cases where people have swam near basic outboards and been killed almost instantly

I don't think ice breaker are very fast.

It's a 10 foot wide prop. Lots of torque, don't need high speed. They make all their power at 200 rpm. Any more speed wouldn't make it any faster. Changing the prop to a different pitch would make it faster, but then we lose the low rpm grunt power we need to smash through ice. It's always a trade off.

You should hear about submarines the advance designs are slow turning propellers due to advancements in efficiency to propeller design, i will not divulge why newer designs are slower rpm, its okay to tell why but you could figure it out, there quieter too!

These are at as close to zero pitch as possible when clutching in and idling as in the video
