This loaded 20' sea container needed to be moved to it's new home, so I got the rollback fired up, stopped for some rainy day pizza, and headed down to get it moved!
Be sure to check out our Patreon project where we use whatever it brings in in a month as our budget to help someone the following month! I was never a fan of the Patreon idea until I realized that I can use it to help others instead of myself, so I created the Patreon Project where we can all combine our efforts to make a real difference in people's lives and make the world a better place! For as little as a dollar a month you can join the group of awesome people already on board and be vote to help steer the ship along the way!

Again Casey shows real professionalism. Chaining down not only the bottom of container but also CROSS chaining the top of container to his load deck. Can't count the trucks that come into the station down road and can actually watch the containers lift up the side that the truck is turning. Again, for your descriptive monolog as you work, I express many thanks

Geeze. I used to run containers on a roll back everyday. The way I would chain down the containers, I could probably tip the truck upside-down and it wouldn't move. I used to run a tilt tray, picking up and dropping off generators. Whenever they were coming on the deck crooked, we had a trick to straighten them. Hook a chain to the corner of the generator at the rear of the truck, towards the side you need it to move. Then hook the winch to the diagonally opposite corner and start pulling in. You’d be surprised how quickly it moves sideways. Thanks for taking us for the ride.

The guy that owned the rigging company that I worked would have never let us move a container (or anything else) in the rain. He had a YUGE fear of the objects we moved slipping off wet decks of trucks and wet forks of lifts. Honestly, good job on getting a job done. We were wimps.

@@ckm-mkc The company was in Philly and sadly, we were heading toward insolvency when I left after 2 years. I could get jobs, but if the owner would not release my crews to work when the smaller customers needed a move to happen, clients were mad and the reputation meant we lost our good word of mouth for being dependable. Big corporate customers appreciated that policy, but the mom and pops that were the bread and butter of the operation between the big jobs were lost to our competitors.

A lot of the tilt trays around here have popup container pins, which makes life a lot easier. People who have containers flush on the ground, ugh! As a person who spent over 10 years working trailers/ containers for WMT in TN, I can honestly say, Casey you are very good at moving them around! However, on my watch they had to be empty, cleaned out and ready to go when being picked up. Not piles of stuff in the way, ie pallets buggies. Stay safe out there! Ps. Miss Ethan, but you still have Grumpy when the missus lets him go out!😊
