who can it was such a mess to they not redo it right? to the dude played the victim a tad bit i know some were aggressive on the "hey man that's wrong" but still how in the heck he land that gig at the verge .... my 1st PC build went way smoother *a given* on a i had a minor issue but still his horrible cable work still haunts me. has he did another Tech video after!? i'd think not bet blocks anyone ask's or mention's that build video wouldn't shock me
The Fractal Define is actually one of the worst Fractal cases made to date so she doesn't have any room to judge us! Steve Burke would be disappointed. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XeTxUjUrw4A.html The Helios aint much better... well it is better in terms of cooling at least, BUT not good for its price at all. Meshify C would be better in price and cooling, Lian Li 011, Corsair Crystal, etc etc are all better. NZXT's as well.
As a tech enthusiast myself, I'm happy that we have a Vtuber who's into tech. I've built several PCs for friends, acquaintances and work so I was giggling like a fangirl the whole time she was discussing this in her stream.
She's definitely prepping for the 3000 series card. I'm thinking of making the jump aswell. Glad I didn't get fomo'd when I had a 1070ti on hand. Or maybe I should wait a bit more for the Ti and S variants of the 3000 series.
Looks like shes doing a ROG maximus xii extreme with the 10th gen intel and probably the 3080. If she does a 3090 (which she probably can with the amount of SC she gets), she'll need a full tower case since mid towers that have such large clearances from front to the gpus are pretty rare (cant do any front rads if she uses the 3k gpus)
I think she's still holding off for now, based on her comment of using a 1080. She can probably justify the purchase though, but IMO it's better to just grab a secondhand 2080 Ti.
@@FengLengshun Yeah, the 1080 comment made me think she's on the more frugal PC Builder spectrum, tho the mobo says otherwise... That being said she might not care about ray-tracing since she's into competitive games, so maybe didn't care about the RTX 2000 line or didn't have the budget at the time. The 1080 was still a great card. But, yeah 2080 Ti would be a good buy now. It's not like it will be easy to snag a 3080-3090 on release anyway :p
a buyer remorse from me that i hope others can found helpful of, is that if your PC is going to be placed on your desk, and you have like 22inch or 55cm space in length for your PC, you don't need to buy any smaller cases like mATX, assuming your ceiling is like 7ft/213cm tall, and your table is only 28inch or 71cm, you can basically buy most cases, there are also ATX cases with good cable management space and wide space for big GPU or CPU cooling solutions, that's only like 5 inch or something wider than an mATX. Don't buy a god damn mATX with suboptimal airflow, limited GPU/CPU cooler size, or use mATX motherboards with only 1 PCI-E 16x slot (iirc, intel CPU's mATX motherboard do have options that comes with 2 PCI-E 16x, but you must use a very low profile GPU that only takes like 1.5 slots). Just don't do that to yourself.
@@Asdayasman i can't really cuz my computer desk is next to my house's old main door, it's blocked except for the bottom where the ground barricade is at, I have to vacuum very frequently, my PC will be filled with literal sand and dust in just a week or 2 if i put my PC there. Besides i don't wanna accidentally kick my PC down, i can't put my PC right under my legs cuz my table is too low, it's just the right height so i can put my legs in. I did thought about mounting just the motherboard and PSU straight to the wall tho.
I have a Phanteks Eclipse P400A just chilling on my tiny desk and still have room to spare in front and to the sides of it, definitely buy ATX unless you have an extremely reduced space on your desk that you have confirmed a regular size ATX wont fit on.
i built my first pc last year at the age of late 20. all that was thanks to lots of google, youtube and LinusTipTips as well as parts planning all within 2 weeks.
It’s just a bit of knowledge, in less than half a year I went from not knowing where my motherboard neither my gpu were, inside my case, to being able to build my own pc+being able to fix some stuff+being waaaay more aware of software+being waaaaay more ware of hardware+knowing a lil bit of reballing, if you actually have the interest to search for it, you’ll get it quickly (obviously I’m not saying I’m a pro, I’m just an amateur guy who know a thing or two about it, but it’s useful and fun, at least for me) -her pc is probably better than mine tho :’) mine isn’t bad, it’s actually good, but isn’t at the top, plus, my monitor is still 144hz, and I got other with 60hz, she has 3 if I remember and one of them with 240hz, I’m looking to get one of those- Edit: well, seems like my gpu is a bit better than hers, if it isn’t the TI version, she has a 1080 and I have a 2070 super (in the country I live, don’t ask me why, but the 1080 and 1080 TI were more expensive than the 2070 super, and 2080/2080 super/2080 TI were crazy expensive, so I went with the best deal, with a great performance and better price compared to the others)
>Fractal Design Well, that's a legit brand alright. If she's not using a Noctua fan, I'll be surprised. Also, testing systems outside of case first makes her Tech Jesus (Gamer Nexus' Steve) approved. And using 1080 for her new build? Hey, at least she has better foresight than 2080 Ti buyers lol
I got bad news for you bro. 1080 is what's in her current PC; she already has a 2080Ti on standby for the E-ATX build. But then streamers using OBS on the same PC generally need a lot more graphics power than the games alone typically require. Miko could only stream Ark in potato settings with reduced res with her 2080 (I think) until she got a dual PC setup, for instance.
whoa talk about BIG BOI PC and a light show on next PC case you'll see a nice yagoo face on it glowing in RGB as it show extra boost in FPS as papa yagoo watches la lion rekt n00bs!
Well most overseas viewers don't understand what she is saying probably so they really can't contribute on conversation soooo yeah they just probably chatted what they wanted to see Botan playing hope Botan will see it and think about it and plus i was seeing some 1-2 japanese chat their talking about Insurgency: sandstorm.
@@haruusami1831 well, if you don't understand what conversation about, maybe you should be quiet? They just spamming with non-related requests, it's disgusting, it's just like "hey, entertain me, slave-clown". I don't like japanese culture of nonnecessary over-respecting everyone, but also I don't like cringe and cancer.
Its not hard. Built my first one over the last christmas. Decide your budget, pick your parts with pcpartpicker (gpu>cpu> everything else), and the building part can be a little troublesome especially when your first start and want it to post. Also doing bios settings for OCing is a bit overwhelming but youll get used to it
My problem is usually measurement since I go for cheap case TT Versa j21 and I can't install AIO on top, and since the front panel lacks hole it's suboptimal. Kinda want to drill some hole for air Intake.
everyone running around with mid towers, and here I am sitting with my Raijintek Zofos evo full tower... which i feel like I'm one of the small handful of people to even own that case
Sadly, no. She said she owns a 2080. I think it was Ti, too, if I remember correctly. No fault of her own, though; this is all on NVidia. This is why I'd rather send my money towards AMD's way; at least it's a ways off until they start pulling the same kind of crap Intel and NVidia are doing. They're putting that money to good use, and not in 14nm refreshes. Sure, they're lacking in the GPU sector, but they're getting better with every generation. This is literally a tortoise-and-hare story.
I do motherboard in first because I've worked with smaller cases designed with matx in mind and you don't have the room to simply plop the motherboard in if a lot of stuff is already connected, larger cases are more convenient to work with and have better airflow but some people don't like bulky pc, my sister wanted a pc that could fit in the cupboard of her desk so I had to choose a casing that not only was small but had the airflow designed to go front to back since the sides would be blocked.
I hope she's going to use a CLC for the CPU, because the front intake of that case isn't great and CPU temps with an air cooler will suffer. Edit: oh I didn't see the end of the vid.
I fell in love with my Corsair Air 540 when I was researching Cube cases. It takes up 1/3 of my desk but I love it and will put any further upgrades in it. The ASUS case she's talking about is an utter beast, though. I think you can put two systems in it, one that's MATX or ITX, I don't remember offhand, and then your regular ATX/EATX main PC. And obviously has space for two power supplies. I hope she post pictures of the rig's progress on her twitter.
My current case is Cougar Panzer but now building my 3d rendering PC inside a Phanteks Enthoo Elite case. That case can hold two system in one. The main pc can support from ITX to EATX but the second one can only support ITX.
Which is the measurement you used to show the pc case size? Now I wanna know, like, it’s kinda impossible to be in centimeters because well... even if it’s big, I doubt it has almost 6 meters of heigh Edit: holy fuck that water cooler is huge, which cpu is she using? and damn, so our lion is kind of a fan for Rog
V Clip n' Subs oh I see, thx, here where I live they usually just go with cm so when I saw those numbers I was like “wait what?” 草 the edit was amazing tho, perfect sync between her speak and the images
Yuck... Fractal Define's are garbage. Fractal Meshify C is good though... the Helios is a bit of an upgrade at least. It's not good by any means, Lian Li, Meshify C, Silverstone etc are all better.
Well she's sponsored by Asus, so naturally she'll get a good deal with Helios or free-of-charge. Being a Meshify C user myself, I can say it's a damn great case, and has served me well till today, and will continue serving me for my next upgrade build. I'm also interested in their Fractal Torrent case, but the price is stupid expensive tho.
