Lol that's not your choice haha, you can't just burst everyone's bubble, life will snap them out into reality. I'm 23. Honestly the answer to why no one ask questions is age. The student's you're talking about who are "fresh out" are still in Kid mode. Plus you're in first year. Give it time because the committed survive and you'll find your core like minded people. The kids drop out eventually so think of this stage as the teething stage. You're intense overthinker bro. Just let it flow. Just do you because your energy can be spent on your engagement towards your grades and not theirs. (Y) wussaaaaaaa

TAFE is a HECS dodge. For the cost of diploma at TAFE you can reduce uni time by a year. Do the maths.

1drkstr I actually did that with my Computer Science degree (2 years tafe, followed by 2 years Uni). To be honest I found my time at Tafe a lot more productive and I learnt a whole lot more than when I went on to finish at University. University was all these boring lectures filled with theory, where as tafe was much more hands on problem solving. I feel I got better value for money via Tafe, it's a shame because the government is really squeezing tafe's in Australia trying to shrink them down and cut their funding.
