At the 2023 Rider Mania aka Motoverse, we saw a special unveil of a brand new Bobber styled 650-twin motorcycle - Shotgun 650. It's the production version of the SG650 that was showcased at the EICMA a couple of years ago. What makes this particular version special is the fact that it'll be limited to only 25 units as these are called 'hand-painted'. Machine-painted version of the bike is also being manufactured, launch of which is going to take place sometime early 2024. In this video, we tell you all the details that we have on the Shotgun 650.

This has neutral set footpegs which would the most comfortable over the existing 650 cc's . Sitting geometry and ergonomics seems to be like RE classic

Basic problem of RE’s is exhaust pipe placement(talking about dual exhaust). It doesn’t look compact. And also look cheap. Same issue with Interceptor.

Slightly higher handlebar and better looking exhausts would make this a superhit. Hope it doesn't have the chain sprocket issues that meteor 650 has.

Would be interesting to see if the whole foot position set up (footrests and levers) can be transferred to the Interceptor. If yes, and with a slightly pulled back handlebar (not cruiser style but Japanese), I'm hoping it should give the Interceptor an authentic '70s/'80s kind of riding posture.

RE is good in experimenting and I think they will discontinue this model soon and will come up a good bobber style. In Past also they discontinued many models. They always listen to the customers and that's why they have so many beautiful Retro bikes.

This should have had the forward pegs. The SM should have always had mid mounted pegs. The original super meteor was a low seat hieght bike for relaxed riding with mid mounted pegs. I have Alway said the SM is not an American style cruiser, neither was the original. I am sure a mid set conversion will be available soon, if the shotgun mid set isnt available

1. Royal Enfield has lost the attraction in this color scheme. 2. Silver color scheme was much better, 3. The grey market will copy this color scheme in a day or two so the charm of having selected from 25 lucky winner is lost, 4.The Shot has lost its charm by itself as its been 2-3 years old concept which could not be converted into road present bike. I think Royal Enfield should work seriously on coming up with 900 cc cruiser bike in the price range of 5 Lakhs within 2 years.

Those long wide angled exhaust just spoil the look for me at the rear. The whole exhaust line itself - they could have pulled it in a little bit and not leave that much gap from the engine. Exhaust note is very muted for a Custom inspired bike. This bike has more potential since it provides that mid-foot cruiser-seating in the 650. The more I look at it, the less I want it. Bit of disappointed coz I was excited about this a year ago. Had the same gripes with the Concept they showed at the time, but thought Production may look better.

I don’t know why people in comment section are being lil b*tches, calling it ugly and not as good as the concept. Well, why did you expected it to look exactly like the concept ? Products change when they get into mass production. How many concept cars look exactly like their production version ? None. I knew this motorcycle is gonna look more like a single seat super meteor rather than having completely new frame, construction and chassis.
