I have said this about many videos I have watched. It's now time to. Keep the guards and horses in the courtyard @ horseguards parade. Lock the centry box and the black gates have the guards and horses in the box but inside they would be safer in there and I am sure happy to not. Having the damn pesky ignorant disrespectful rude obnoxious clueless morons called tourists near them or the beautiful horses. I am 79 now and I can remember the guards @ Buckingham palace had centry box out side the gates. Then on one occasion when my parents took us to see changing of the guards they where inside the courtyard and the centry boxes also. If I iam not mistaken the guards had many problems with tourists being rude and disrespectful to these SOLDIERS they were moved for safety reasons. So this has to be done @ horseguards parade. These men and women soldiers and horses do not need the aggravating visiting public abuse and disrespectful teenagers and young, adults touching there horse or the guards. They can see from out side. Plus it will stop stupid girls, lady's using the guards and horses as photo shoot props. .And the disrespectful Asian people who do the V sign giggle and run back to the crowd.. I left London in 1991. Nothing would make me want to ever visit again. I just can't believe how much has changed. I am British my passport says so but I live in North Wales. But proud to be British. And have respect for our culture customs and traditions of over 1000 years ago. Do something to keep the military safe @ horseguards parade. I have just watched little Frank meeting COH. How cute he looks and the COH. ♥️
I always say “you can almost see their with for all” funny how we have different sayings, if I’m getting one of my grandchildren dressed and putting a vest on I will say “ let’s tuck your midriff in” I was bought up in the north of Derbyshire but not anymore and I still make my ‘kids’ laugh with something’s I come out with, they’ve always known “ get up wooden hill” ( the H in hill is silent ) they say it to their little ones now and we live further south now. Just thought I’d add a little bit of knowledge and humour to the comments section for a change. I have a Scottish friend with a broad accent and I’m always saying Pardon because she can sometimes speak so fast I don’t get a word she’s saying. We are just a small island yet with tons of different ways and dialects when talking. However most of us can read ‘Do not touch the reins’ and understand “GET OFF THE REINS” what I don’t understand is why people think it is funny to test the patience of a guard or try to take control of the Kings horses. There definitely no humour in that and is potentially very dangerous.
These people are rarely laughing AT the Guards. The woman who grabbed the reins was giving a nervous laugh---not quite sure of what she's done to be shouted at for (excepting ending this sentence with a double preposition).
@@iociccio936 how thick are you that you couldn’t or didn’t bother to realise that the Household Cavalry has employed women since 2018? Frankly I’d rather have this young ladies finger nail clippings than you.
@@iociccio936 not that you care that you’re in the wrong but the horses are not forced to stand still. They’re schooled without abuse to stand when asked as is any other horse if it’s wanted for riding. Plus which, he has the whole of the box and the same again outside, or would have if people stopped crowding into it so, blame the tourists.
@@iociccio936 they’re not ‘forced’ to stand still, they can move within the box and for a short space outside. If you think the troopers are doing nothing I suggest you take some riding lessons.
Yes she did laugh but that was more of a "I am not used to being told no" laughs and embarrassment. Great shout as she really had a good grip in both reins. Ty as always for the great video Keep Safe Keep Strong 🦘🦘🦘🦘❤❤❤❤
@@iociccio936 Its called tradition !! The lifeguards cavalry regiment date back to 1650 & escourt & guard the monarch in transit & guard dutys !! It would have charged in many battles & at Waterloo in 1815 against the French . You seem to have a problem with ceremonial duties in uniform - many other countries use modern soldiers in ceremonial uniform on duties the French do at their presidential palace& other countries equally , their modern combat role is driving light armoured tanks !!! They served also in modern wars to date , Falklands war ,Gulf desert war , Bosnia & Balkan war ..
@@iociccio936 your ignorance is showing. If you have no interest in tradition or history (The Blues and Royals have evolved from the original regiment founded in the early 1660’s) why bother reading and commenting?
I would so Love to visit there. But I wouldn’t act like a fool. The buildings are incredible and I don’t understand why people aren’t taking pictures of them.
I hope she feels ashamed of her behaviour,l just don’t understand why you would grab the reins, there’s no need for this at all, well done to the guard putting her in her place. Just another day of hell with silly tourists.
@@iociccio936 feckwit, she is a girl! The Household Cavalry moved into the present century back in 2018 but then you’re not interested in history are you?! As for your ‘Little Englander’ jibe, the commenter may well be English, this is England after all. However, they could equally hail from N. Ireland, Scotland or Wales because this is the U.K. Also, there is nothing to stop other people from commenting which is a shame, otherwise you wouldn’t be trolling these posts.
For the life of me, what is wrong with these people?I,really think it is time to let the horses be clear of the the people, want to pet them, go,to,a,petting, zoo. also grow up.
I wonder if who ever is over the tourist you know let's them tour certain times or how long ...I think that no one is saying anything because they like the money that it's generated from the tourist .. it's sad the guards and horses have to put up with this degrading from the tourist..
Look how much better the pavement around the horse boxes looks without the hoards of people. It looks more regal and less touristy. Guards and horses doing what they are supposed to do.
Would like to see the cops doing a better job of keeping the crowds away from the guards and horses. Most of them just stand around. Just because they are animals dies not mean they don’t feel threatened by these tourists. Not a petting zoo or Disneyland.
She was banned from being around the horse guards. That was a couple of months ago I think. She may not be allowed to come back. She did it to herself.
Whatever happened to Common Courtesy, Common Sense and just plain having Manners? Maybe Horse Guards should put a big Neon Sign that says “Don’t Touch The Reins” and when the People touch them a LOUD Fog Horn blows. If nothing else, it will scare the living Hell outta Them!
This looks like she is daring you to do something about it. You are in control and manage your mount beautifully. I would be tempted to move the horse forward and move her along. ❤
You can see her cheeks at one point. I’m aware that it shouldn’t matter what young ladies wear, but I’m also painfully aware of what all too often happens when they dress like this. 😢😢
You’re expecting our King to roll up his sleeves and build a barrier? You don’t think that he may have better things to do? Anyway, a barrier would be both impractical and dangerous.
@@j.ksmith7432 Well said. There are so many comments like these it makes me laugh. If there was a barrier between the horse and the tourists, the damage it would cause to the horse and guard if the horse was to get spooked. People really do not think when suggesting such a thing. Tourist need to just use common sense, which is very much lacking these days. The laughing at the guards doing their job really pisses me off.
@@k1896 exactly so! I’m sick of saying the same things over and over tbh. I don’t think many bother to read the previous comments, or do some research, ask a question on here, anything that they might just learn something from, but no. I’m hoping that whilst Horse Guards is closed they’ll take the opportunity to do some of the well overdue maintenance jobs and hopefully paint a demarcation line outside the front of the boxes. I’m not holding my breath though!!
It should be an instant £100 fine for touching the reins, payable within 60 minutes, otherwise it's a night in the cells. She if she can pick any humour out of that..... I can't help but wonder what might happen if a Brit started taking liberties in the nations these people call home?
How many women do you know with deeper voices? Most equestrian women develop the knack of dropping the voice a couple of octaves when the horse is misbehaving, they need to employ the same tactic with tourists!!
They spend more time bending backwards, hanging upside down and kissing the Blarney Stone. Why do some people walk past, touch the poor horse for a split second and keep going?
You wouldn’t grab hold of someone’s steering wheel when they are driving along, where’s the difference? They would probably complain if the horse bolted and dragged them along, just where are their brains? These professional soldiers are in charge of a huge animal and horses are definitely not bomb proof. Common sense?
Why do this tourists want to pester the guards.? They have a very important job and they take it seriously!! As they should. Trying to get reaction from them is just belittling them in Public....grow up!!!!
One young girl dress is so short you can see her butt cheeks. Embarrassing, should have a pair of shorts on. Ladywas startled and jumped back when guard yelled which most likely a scared laughed being in shock of the guard doing his job by yelling get of the reins. Like a instant reflex reaction, not laughing funny haha. Not exspecting the yell, I probably would jump back from the guards yell because it would scare me too. Great job by the guard.
