Dear Naick & Kim Magnificent scenery, Chile is so unexpected, really modern and a lovely city. The Milky Way was amazing to see, and the extraordinary landscape was different and unique everywhere, as you were driving along, unbelievable. That man was very kind who helped you out of the deep sand, a very kind act to ring his friend , to bring his truck to help you, very kind.

Welcome to Chile, I hope you enjoy traveling around the country. I’m really sorry that the first Chilean you encountered was one of the rudest. Not everyone is like that (though some are), but there are also a lot of nice people. Just so you know, Route 5 doesn’t end in Santiago; it continues to the south, where the Carretera Austral begins, and by far, the southern part of the country is the most beautiful (in my opinion), so hopefully you can explore that too!
