Hey! We are the blessing boys and we’ve got a monster of a transformation for you today. This driveway is an absolute mess and we are beyond excited to give it a complete makeover, If you watched our last video, me and the boys took care of the front yard on this home which the neighbor told us has been abandoned for about 3 years. In this video we will take it section by section working towards the house. The boys will be using a tarp to haul all of this nasty debris away. You’re going to want to stick around until the end to see how crisp we got this driveway and as a bonus we also found a sidewalk that was almost completely hidden and cleared that too! Your sons are doing well figuring out how to participate on the driveway. The power unit looks very helpful for you and probably other people with power equipment of various sorts. Smart idea to be able to cook or heat foods on the job. People are commenting that your kids could probably learn to power wash. True, but you have to have access to water, which might not be available on empty homes. Smaller projects, as a walkway to the door, stepping stones or stairs would be likely "starter" things to try. (Brad of Copper Creek showed a small, simple "Sun" unit one time. Can even sit on a chair to use it.) It is interesting how this home is "reappearing". It wasn't really possible to see how big the driveway was, or how it interacts with the property. A hidden sidewalk is a second surprise. You are getting into Landscape Archeology today. Hidden borders, walkway, forms. Glad your kids are having the experience of the fun of finding and repairing things. That is now looking like a home people would enjoy going to.

It was so satisfying to see not only everyone working together, but the end result was so worth the effort. Everyone of your boys are hard workers. I did get a kick out of the youngest putting up with your constant taking "his" shovel, then pouncing on it when you put it down. He sure knows how to work that shovel too. Kudos to you and the boys on doing one of the worst driveways I have seen in a long time. I do think it is sad to see what looks like a nice house go so neglected for so long.

Glad to see you are using electric/battery tools, avoiding the emissions from gas powered. May I suggest that you strive to minimize the use of the string trimmer which puts lots of little pieces of plastic into the environment? Encourage you to use shovels, mower, blower, blades edgers when possible! You do great work!

Hey Bettina belated msg from 2024... what gets my goat is that all of these American houses empty or not have such humungously big (can you be humungously big ?:) ) yards front and back.. As far as I am aware - there is no way an Aussie would have a yard like that without building another home on it or units or granny flat on it to make extra money, but sadly these folks don't seem to care. They just have houses that are falling apart and big yards they cant look after.. or maybe its just because I am jealous because I'm renting and a pensioner so no way would I get a loan to get my own home which I would gladly look after... and rents are becoming impossible to either pay for or even find...cheers from WA

Hadn't noticed the front door that until I read your reply. I did notice however that the hedges seem trimmed. So that wouldn't suggest 3 years abandonment. Bit iffy. Burglary, trespassing? I would consult the local police first. And have them contact the municipality to secure the place. Current situation will only lead to further decline.

Buy another shovel. What you're doing isn't more important than what your baby son is doing. You're okay working by self well your son is learning it too. Because he doesn't have a pal like his older brothers. I just imagine he's going to be an awesome man one day. Independent from you and his brothers. You and your oldest two boys are teaching your youngest son team has an I in it. That little dude never lost a beat. He worked just as hard or harder than anyone else. Way to go little Dude.

Is it Actually Abandoned? Why don't you Fix it up and Sell it then? Unless it is NOT actually Abandoned and Actually Owned by a Bank or some other Person perhaps still. Then That means NOT ABANDONED. Just not being used or Sold. Banks have problem where Property will just sit and sit and sit for long periods of time and not get sold or anything done with them. But Does Not mean it is Abandoned. as Someone owns it still. Abandon - No one wants anything to do with it anymore, IE Free for anyone to take over if they want to.

The place almost looks like it may have been some kind of school or business with that huge driveway which almost looks like a parking lot. A business where the owner worked from home, an office. I couldn't help but to keep saying, "you guys need a pitchfork". My dad used a pitchfork all the time it so much easier to pick brush up and put it on your shoulder and off you go. I don't get it. Why is this abandoned for 3 years, without the municipality stepping in? How about local taxes? Use it or lose it! Expropriate it, auction it, and have the proceeds put into an escrow account or community benefit.

jude needs a shovel perhaps in smaller size length? Also since realize you have three boys barely teens they actually are always hungry just like all boys that age! BE REAL to the world and show the sodas and gatorade and water and potato chips and crackers and lots of candy plus sandwiches and fries when available all pouring into the bottomless pits of your hard working boys who deserve to eat well! The whole world knows they work hard so show they eat normally also and watch the count really go up!
