This issue is the same around the world. I am from Finland, we were teached something about slavery but it was mainly focused numbers (how many were people were transported from Africa and how) and that slaves worked in farming, cotton and in tobacco fields. And no, it was different here, than in other places. Chattel slavery isn't the same as other types. Many slave in Africa were actually more indentured until it wasn't. Doubt any reparations because: 1) The US government started a war to free the slaves, so they don't owe anything. 2) Brave white men faught in that war to free their Negroid brethren, had they not we would still have slavery today. When the slave trade was abolished in GB, the slave owners were in uproar. The government agreed to financially compensate them with a package worth £20m, a value worth £17b today. Slaves didn't get a penny, in fact, the compensation wasn’t fully paid until 2015, which ironically means that descendants of former slaves who came to Britain after WWII, like my parents, have been unwittingly, through taxes, repaying this debt to sons of former slave owners, up until 9 years ago! Let that sink in.

Reparations shouldn't be given to black people individually, instead it should be used to rebuild several new black towns or communities like we had before ( in the 20s - 40s that got burned down by racism). We need black owned businesses in these communities, restaurants, franchises around the country, our hospitals where black children are encouraged to study and work at, research, own recreation centers, movie theaters, banks, gas stations around the country, hotels etc....own gardens. There is a reason that more immigrants own hotels, gas stations and restaurants in our community instead of us because they were given loans.... when this should have been given to black people instead of giving welfare. Most people don't know that the word SLAVE is derived from the word SLAV. So many Slavic people from Central and Eastern Europe were enslaved that Slav became slave.
