As a Leeds fan I’ve experienced more than my fair share of embarrassing cup exits, but tonight’s different because I can’t even be angry at how we played, Salford just dug in, took their chance when it came and defended like their lives depended on it, fair play to them hope they get a good tie in the next round
Well done Daniel, utter genius sending out Gnonto, Summerville, Sinisterra and Rutter to lose to Salford. Means Leeds should retain their services for the season now.
Isn't that the kind of 4D chess meme Arsenal fans used to use with Wenger (except they'd string it out over three or four degrees of separation back to some seemingly innocuous action by Arsene that 'leads' to eventually favour Arsenal down the line)?
Great performance from the boys, Leeds don't like it up em! Skipper man of the match for me, that was exciting, onwards and upwards. C'mon Salford!!!!!!
Honestly, can't be that annoyed going out this way, dominated the game. Salford deserved it, defended for their lives and got that bit of luck they needed.
I understand it but I actually hate fans that invade the pitch after a win. You can see it on most of the players faces that they are disappointed they were robbed the chance to celebrate on field with their teammates. Bitter sweet.
VAR was only used at Premier League grounds since none of the lower leagues use it unless it's a final at Wembley. VAR will be used from the semi finals.
@@GoateeMcGoatFaceJust not at EFL grounds at all as they won’t have the technology (even those who were relegated from the Premier League in recent seasons but have not made it back). Basically, for a Semi Final to have VAR, both clubs involved must be PL Clubs.
That was a dive. Defender hung his leg out, pulled it back, and Gnonto kicked it and dove. Glad the ref didn't fall for it. VAR wouldn't have overturned that
Me da rabia que luego les digan copa de leche joder, la euforia las ganas de ganar aunque sea una vez hacen que todo partido por la pelea por un título sean especiales esto lo demuestra
Sorry, but you seem to forget that in those "glorious" Revie days Leeds also lost in the FA Cup vs 4th division Chesterfield and even a final against 2nd division Sunderland
I loved the pitch invasion at the end by the local chavs . Has there ever been one before in this round of the Carabao Cup ? As a Leeds fan, I'd swap our goalie and the back four with Salfords in the blink of an eye. Marching on Together .
It was on the cards bookies were giving 1two ten that Leeds would get knocked out of this micky mouse cup it was expected like so many other top clubs who do the same priority.s.lay in the.championship and getting back up two the premiership
And there are Leeds fans saying it was a good performance!!?? How I wish this team (and some of the fans) could get that seventies spirit back again. 33 shots and some sitters missed! Crumbled is fair enough because if you're spirit's right, you're scoring six against Salford. It was an embarrising mess. No excuses for losing at all. And Farke wanted the win (not just focused on the league). On the other side, Salford were excellent because they had the spirit and desire. And that's exactly why they won. Their players wanted it more, had the passion and desire, and completely deserved the upset. Well played to them!! Leeds players could learn a thing or two from Salford: show the passion and spirit, don't let your heads sink once, and make every chance you get count. Once penalties came, I knew it would be Leeds who stumbled. Salford just had "WIN" stamped all over them from the first whistle. Well done from an ashamed Leeds fan. 👋
salford showed passion and spirit but leeds didn't lose that game because of passion and spirit , no sitters were missed ,a great goalkepeeping performance and the help of the woodwork 3x , so an awful lot of luck was required for salford to get the win@@steelyman08
Leeds continues to get worse. Will be three years before promotion is even achievable. Dont feel sorry for Leeds fans at all after the things they said about coaches and players last season.
IMHO THE keeper off his line rule has to go. Seems pointless let the goalie move as soon as the player starts his run up. Would make it more interesting and less nit picky and we get enough of that with offside. Might even get a few chipped penalties if the keeper comes off his line too much
I agree. It doesn't make sense to let the shooters play all their stupid games and force to keeper to stay on his line. Give them both the opportunity to play games. LOL
I like the idea of the keeper being able to move the moment the shooter begins the run-up. It would definitely lead to more simple and shorter approaches.
