Never ever I seen a flashback powerup for the villain side in my life, this is the only anime where they did that and I really love it, its really shows the writers really care about not only hero's character development but also the villain's which no anime, even the older ones never did that
i like how at the end he told him he went for the kiba`s throat and not the eye in the manga when he finally fights his dad he gets hit in the throat (basically tares out his adams apple) and didnt go for his eye its like a foreshadowing of that event in the manga and if u guys dont know what manga it is its called tough
Unfortunatly those are the only episodes because its a prequel to a manga called Tough which is about a more mature Ki-bo although he acts like his young self sometimes.

Never mind I got it. I'm actually not sure what song it is, but I'm guessing it's the ending theme. By the way, I just bought the "Tough" collectors edition of this anime, it's the same thing as this. I do believe this is the only ShootFighter anime. There is a manga though.
@marshalparshal Well the incomplete manga of season 1 is here mangafox . com and look for KOKO TEKKEN-DEN TOUGH But, Season 2, called TOUGH it seems has been taken down from scan sites because of copyright issues so tough luck there...
He was so tired that he probably even forgot to propel himself like he did on the first chapter. Meh. He was bound to lose and I wonder how many naive ppl thought the centipede lock would actually work. They emphasized on it so much, its a cliche that his opponent would actually escape from it.
I can't spell his name right, but the challenger got what happened to him rightly. In no way saying it in argumentative way just saying he learned that day the meaning of appearances are deceiving. Kind of a harsh way to learn, it would be cool if he did win.
That kick to Kiba's head followed by slowmow is the coolest shit i've seen so far. I wish they'd make more. Anyone know any other awesome anime like this?
Two years later but If you are still interested the song is called Private Emotion by Lapis Lazuli, got to search it that way, including the name of the band, if not you will get send to another much well-known but totally unrelated song also called Private Emotion.
@GravDiga well yeah. when iron kiba was flashing back to times with his dad i believe he was unconscious. so techinally kiichi won since kiba wasn't all there but kiba knocked kiichi out cold
There are more, the second season to this is called tough, and there is also more to this season by the way, for example you meat Kiichis uncle who makes iron kiba look like a little girl...
wow the ending sucked. like big time. how the hell was he still moving. that would never happen in real life. and why the hell is the anime it's self so short is there like one that leads up to this one or something? you don't get a feel for the characters. there's no emotional connection. it's like all they wanted to show was big sweaty guys beating the hell out of each other even to the point of the impossible.
