I love how much of a child Kiichi is. He's immature, a lil shit, and kinda selfish. I love it because he's around 15-16, and that's exactly how someone his age acts
The cracking sound of the bones as Genshu applies pressure on the weak parts of the skull is sickening. Not to mention how much damage you can sustain with sharp bone fragments lodge into the brain.
Never ever I seen a flashback powerup for the villain side in my life, this is the only anime where they did that and I really love it, its really shows the writers really care about not only hero's character development but also the villain's which no anime, even the older ones never did that
2:15 Bullies are all the same. Always so big and bad whenever they're picking someone weaker than them, but get them up against somebody substantial, and they always show their true colors as the sniveling cowards they really are.
Yep, he's based on French actor Jean Reno. He's shot in the head when he visits his old opponent that he paralyzed in the US, the guy based on Patrick Smith (who passed away in 2019). But it wouldn't matter anyway, as one of my issues with this manga is that they never bring old characters back anyway. Baki is much better in that regard, almost all the characters make new appareances in more recent storylines. In "Tough", old characters are forgotten as soon a new ones arrive on the scene, which kinda sucks. It's still a very good MMA manga, but the it doesn't have a strong cast like Baki.
That lock hold Shingo got Yo in to break his arm loos like a variation of the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu technique "Taking the back mount", after transitioning from the "Trap N Roll" technique. Goetsu-Style Jiu-Jitsu shares alot of the same principles as Gracie- Style BJJ, that's what it looks like to me anyway.
