Good Morning! AS PHOTOGRAPHERS WE MUST UNDERSTAND OUR SOCIETY & COMMUNITIES - PLEASE WATCH 13th on NETFLIX (www.netflix.com/title/80091741) to get a good understanding of how American society came to this situation. I thought in 2020 we would be over with racism I guess - not! Learn, unlearn and support. Protests are 99% peaceful and then a small group comes to destroy things and the whole energy shifts - usually peaceful people leave at this point. Be careful if you go shoot - there are tons of reports from other cities where law enforcement attacks journalists. - Photos recap on Instagram: instagram.com/pierretlambert Keep it up everyone & spread LOVE & COMPASSION ❤️
Hey man, great great great video!!! Perfect shots you took,. Your video should be viral! This is just what the world and America in first place is becoming... greetings from Azores
The protester need to be more gentle, dont just sit down in the car, down to the street and gather more people and do something roughly... cause that will make that police trembling. Need more power to push that police
@@LABiker-gq6qv nope. Mindless fad BS. Back to laying down all day with a gross blanket half covering you while you stare at your smartphone, mental infant.
Looks like a real mindless jackoff live view shooting off the screen like that too, like the other overindulgent animals shoving their s,art phones around everywhere.
35:35 you see the black young guy opposing the violence while the other guy enjoys it. That’s something you don’t see in the media. Awesome video showing what it felt like.
@@hehyouthere what you’re saying does not logically follow. The demographics of an event like a protest have a multitude of more relevant external causes (social & political zeitgeist of the population) intertwining outside of race.
@@dillamadukes21 what? All I said was that majority of protesters were white which is true. Look up America's population by race, it's 60.1% white...more than any other race here. So any event, protest, etc happening here in America you're likely to see more white people. Tf. It's a simple observation my guy
Didn’t someone also burn a homeless guys tent? I can’t remember if he was inside, but I remember something about them burning a some homeless persons tent...
war between L & R has to stop. This is not kindergarten guys.... This is one country and its people that have to work together. Too easy to blame others in life. What can we do as a society is how you solve thing not pointing fingers.
@@Pierretlambert I agree, but for some how people live in a "me, me and only me" world. This also why I love to watch your videos, I can see that you are a real people person!
Pierre...you are among my favorite photographers. This entire shoot is historic and has gone down to an important place in the history books. I hope when you put together a book of your works, you don't miss this day...a very sad day for the entire humanity, not just US.
Pure as a photographer this is a photographers heaven. Still verry sad this needs to happen 2020. You as a photographer had the task to show the power of the people, and you did an amazing job.
Nice quote at the end. So many people protesting in peace and just a few who drag it in the mud by randomly destroying stuff... great video, gives a good insight.
This was really powerful and emotive to watch. I live in a quiet town in Scotland so felt quite detached from the protests and the situation, but this really brought it home. Keep doing what you do, absolutely love your work.
The phrase that you quoted in the end of the video is so right! There are so many powerful and none violence ways to demonstrate for right purpose. Smashing someone's car or store is not . Great job Pierre, your work just proved that photography is not just about pretty images.
This is one of the most powerful videos and pictures I've seen in a long time. Raw, yet beautiful from an esthaetic point of view. Loved the combination of docu-style video and dark, contrasty stills. Your work should be picked up all around the globe.
Hey Pierre really enjoyed this footage. The world is in a real mess right now and mainstream media often has a bias. It’s nice to see raw footage. “We the people” 🤛
Incredible footage. I live in Chicago and seeing this footage of an area I used to walk around is heartbreaking. Thank you for capturing history as it happened. Be safe out there.
This is an awesome video Pierre. Just 38 some minutes straight of whats going on right now with no cuts. No media or opinions to paint any narrative whether left or right. Good stuff bro. This is way better than the news
Thank you for this beautiful video. Words can not express how incredible it is to see actually what is happening on the streets without the filter of MSM. This is some of the finest documenting journalism I've seen. Thank you
This video made me so nervous. I felt so many emotion with this POV as if I was there.. The photos are amazing and they speak for themselves. Edit.: What the hell, it's so intense it actually made me cry....
Same here, I never got to participate since I'm only 15 and don't live in a big city. But having this POV made me see how it is. This happening almost a year ago is insane! like time fly so fast, I remember like if this was yesterday.
The thing that scares me is that every time I see something like this, I think it's of another country. Just hard to imagine this happening in my own country, also showing how spoiled and fortunate I am to live everyday in peace.
I'm sure this was a very scary situation to be in Pierre, thank you for sticking with it, and showing this to the world! Most protesters are peaceful, but a few make a bad reputation for all. Some of the sounds, particularly people trying to break out store windows sounded like gun shots! If you do any more photo shoots like this Pierre, please be careful!!
Brother can you please upload all these photos on some drive and provide the link.. There images are very strong and can be used to acknowledge people around in my country... Please take this under consideration.. I'll be waiting for your respond.. Stay safe brother
Je ne met presque jamais de commentaire, mais je dois dire que je suis impressionné par la qualité de tes photos, le tout combiné à la rapidité avec laquelle tu les prends. Bravo pour ton travail et pour le message de la vidéo, +1 abonné!
Loved being able to watch you shoot live and see the pictures as you take them. Awesome to see how you frame your shots! Great work as always Pierre, thanks for documenting this and stay safe please!
Holy shit. I don’t know where to start. These photos, the whole video, is breathtaking. I wish I could say this was a once-in-a-life-time situation but I’m afraid it won’t be. You captured the emotions so beautifully. Thank you for going out there.
Awesome video! also shows the power of high megapixel cameras to compensate for the lack of zoom on prime lenses or the lack of high tele zoom on 24-70. impressive results as well! I applaud your neutral approach to the events. pursuing photography without an agenda is key!
I was living just outside of Chicago at this time and had heard a lot a stories about what was going on since I had some friends who were living in downtown Chicago. It's so good to see another perspective, especially one that was a bit more in the action.
Hey Pierre! Very impressive! Aside from the phenomenal pictures you were able to capture and documenting this piece of history, it was also very interesting to see how you engaged when you saw something. The news only gives us highlights, but here you could really feel how these protests were developing and you could certainly feel the tension brewing.
This is very emotional footage. Thank you capturing history. I also cannot believe that we still have these issues in 2020 . I could hope that a worldwide pandemic would bring people together and realize that all lives matter. You are an inspiration to me and I thank you for that.
Thanks for this real document Pierre , it shows all sides . I love how the guys in the red car disagreed witch each other on wether it is worth breaking stuff . The shots with the lifted bridges are awesome , the shadows wow . Awesome shots came out of this . And you didn't lose your friendly composed self at all time , wary of the virus , so good , so very good . Thanks Pierre , I was mesmerised .
Pierre... The images you captured are incredible. They certainly told a story. As always your interaction with the different people was great and got you some incredible images. You are braver than I am. I don’t know I would have felt safe enough to get in the middle of the protests.
I don't live in this city, but 2020 is going to be remembered as a surreal year. This is by far one of my favorite videos of yours. Thanks for recording history and sharing it!
every time you shoot is always perfect, great job Pierre!! 👏👍 you should make a blog/web to put ur best photos, so we can download it for wallpaper or something else 😃❤️
this is amazing stuff. usually I don't watch POV´s that are longer than 5 or 10 minutes, but this one draws my attention the whole time. Fascinating images. If possible one more of those POVs
You are brave for being out there, especially when things started heating up. Plenty of great photos to capture the different moods of the times. Is there a part 2 coming out?
Thank you Pierre! Sad to see the damage in our great city, but surely this is getting the attention needed. It was very interesting to travel with you and see the shots you took. Well done.
Sick photos bro! I am 100 % sure some of those will make history books. And huge respect for you going out there in the field and still trying to keep a positive attitude.
Thanks for showing how you photograph those protest. I loved to these how calm you are and that you take your time to get the shot. This is where i struggle a lot at the moment by rushing to get one photo after another. It was interesting too, to see how these protest really are, because media only cover the riots... Also do you use a lav mic in your POV Vidoes or just the gopro audio? Because sometimes it was difficult for me to understand what you were saying (watching on tv and im from germany) and maybe you could spice this up by using a lav mic with an extern recorder to get a clearer sound of your voice.
I’ve just recently found your channel. This was incredible! The images you capture so quickly are incredible - emotional and thought provoking! Looking forward to watching more of your content. Love your energy and attitude in the couple others I’ve watched 👍🏻
Great videos and photos. I'd also just like to say, good on you for concealing identities in the photos, it's evident that even though you may or may not agree with property damage, you're still aware of the ethics of publishing identities of people within photography, so respect to you.
