Isn't amazing how the universe helps when needed - I was just the other day worried about never getting to go back up there and photograph the night sky, I said...we need a photographer with stature that can bring this to light, well here it is! Andrew Hara is a good guy. The people blocking roads, threatening, harassing, questioning other people for any reason have created the problem. If people harass you at your local surf spot, block the road in or out, they should be locked up for a long time.
I went up there about a month ago. I didn't go all the way to the top but still the view is incredible. You have a complete east and west view from those smaller peaks near the visitor center. The sky is black and the elevation about 9300' so you can still breathe well enough. I even watched the moon rise which was awesome from that location.
Im kind of mad that these star views are dissapearing 80% percent of americans dont see milky ways from earth anymore the worst part is that my dream is to see the milky way :(
