Awesome results but I usually can't afford 3 assistants.

I am doing a shoot like this in two days time,I have put a lot of time and effort into it and found the perfect model (did a shoot with her before) and have 2 people to help with lights etc and a second photographer who knows more than me to take advice from. I bought my Sony Camera after watching your video's and now you still inspire me to push my limits and take great images..Thanks Jason,you are a top geezer..

rotolight look great! i saved for a very long time to get 2 set of the AEOS 2... i got them and i didn't notice they don't come with batteries or a transmitter. So, i am waiting and saving for a very long time to get batteries and transmitter. So, i will comment on the rotolight when i get to use them out doors.

I love that light. I had the chance to use them in Las Vegas in the WPPI 2020. They were amazing. I use flashpoints lights but I am willing to buy some Rotolights.

Best camera for 70 200 G master? Do you use camera flash in night shoot? Which gives best result, with camera flash or without camera flash?

I have been watching Jason's vids for a couple weeks now. He has good info on Sony A7's (and A9) and lenses he uses to get the shot he wants (like the 200mm in this vid = bringing in the red sign in the background). But, I've noticed (and been quite annoyed by) the *poor sound quality*. His voice is running too hot somewhere in the audio chain. DISTORTION (high pre-gain) sounds GREAT on electric guitars! But is is SO ANNOYING on voices. @6:05-6:30 this vid sounds good - there's no distortion. His voice is *nice a clear*. I can clearly understand what he is saying. You will also notice that his voice is quieter in this passage of video. That's NOT to say that he needs to talk quieter!! NO! In fact, we need him to continue to speak up as he does (quite well I might add) because then your microphone will be less sensitive to the ambient sound in his environment (like the people at the wedding at Disney, or the sound of the ocean in this vid, or people walking by or who/whatever is there. You're not in a quiet sound studio.) Before and after that point in this vid (@6:05-6:30) his voice is distorted almost all the time. My guess is that you are running the signal waaay too hot into the sound recording device on location - which is the second part of a lengthy audio chain (the first being the microphone). Your third part is probably whatever processing is done in the computer during post production. Distortion sounds like $hit, so please please please LEARN how to record AUDIO. You obviously don't know how to because this is the fourth or fifth vid that has $hitty SOUND. It's completely distracting when I'm trying to listen to Jason explain/teach/give tips on how to do what he's doing. PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE in future videos! Most *video* guys have NO clue how to record/compress/process *audio*. I have done audio for a long time. Here's a couple tips: 1. *make sure* that your audio signal (mic) is running into a digital recorder, 2. make sure that recorder has an accurate audio signal level meter, 3. make sure your audio signal level NEVER exceeds *-10dB*. If your signal ever reaches 0dB then I guarantee that it is actually exceeding 0dB and that's where your distortion problems have begun. Once you have recorded a distorted signal there is NO way to fix it! There is no "Photoshop Fix" for audio distortion ("barrel or pincushion" LOL). 4. If you find that you are peaking at -10 or even down at -20 and you *still have audio distortion* then it could very well be a piece of crap mic. Good mics are not cheap! (you get what you pay for.) Please ask Jason to invest in his audio gear so that his youtube vids don't sound like crap anymore. LOL. Here's one example: www.dpamicrophones.com/microphones/dfine/4088-directional-headset-microphone *Shure* is another brand that has been doing pro audio components for decades (almost every concert you've ever been to has Shure vocal mics on stage - including headset mics). Jason, You got some dirt on the rear element of that 70-200 GM lens. It's time to flip the zeiss cleaning kit out of the bag ;). Look at 7:09, there's a dark spot on the yellow bokeh ball, left side of the frame.

Flipping that 200mm.....*Pukes* lol - How do you address the dirt/debris on the left hand side of the shots around 7:10 on the 200mm? Or can you edit that out? Or does it not even matter? Nice shoot as always man, just a question from a noob.

Jason, I noticed you seem to like shooting in Live View. Is there any particular reason you're doing so. How do you manage to avoid camera shake holding the camera the way you do, such as with one hand down around your belt. Is that why you're shooting at 1/1250th.

you can just use any LED, or just a high speed speed light or just put your camera on a tripod, so many ways to get the same results.

That flip is a recent addition... hardly ever saw you do that... i do that sometimes with my Nikon gear... did once with sony...

Versatile, but 90% of Jason's viewers would be better off with the diffuser and a $50-$75 LED spot light.
