Air Force Pilots were issued S&W Model 15s, typically with the 2-inch barrel during the Vietnam War as that was the standard sidearm for the Air Force, along with the 4 inch barrel! They were replaced by the Beretta M9 and now phasing in the Sig M17/18🇺🇸
@@ArnoldRothstien-g2i Not that was authorized by the USAF! I spent over 25 years in the Air Force, and the Smith was the only sidearm issued until the Beretta became a standard issue around 1985!✌️
Have one of the Bushmasters. Such an odd beast. First time I fired it, I shot the hell out of the target stand. It's very odd trying to sight with this thing. I always thought this is one of the few times that mounting a laser might actually make sense.
Had one of the Guinn rifles circa mid/late 1970's, had blonde maple furniture. Didn't like it, as the wood stood out like a sore thumb. So I spray painted it, flat back, When I traded into it, the gunshop experts said that I got screwed. As it wouldn't function. They were wrong as it worked OK, as long as I used factory ammo. Reloads were another story, had to use "small base" sizeing dies to get loaded brass to function. Goes to show you, that a lot of the gunshop commandos, don't know their sphincter from a hole in the ground.
@@utley Posselhaft = farcical, without practical purpose. Waffenposselhaft was coined by Colonel Cooper to categorize firearms that were cute but stupid. As a semi-auto, this fits the category perfectly. As a full-auto, the shooter could at least walk the impacts toward the intended target . . .and might even get there before running the magazine dry. This status might be attenuated somewhat by mounting a laser on it. If I still had the one I had in the 1980s (got on a swap), I would try that, just to see, but the FN P90 platform is far superior.
