Paula, Too often, people will cook to temp & not account for the carry-over heat....thus making their meat tough. Last week, Laura Spath did a YT video of how to perfectly cook ANY meat to tender perfection.
I’m gonna try the tenderizing method and salt. I remember , when I was a kid my mom would use a saucer on it’s edge to tenderize meat. Good to see Ed out there grilling.

The very best full fat yogurt is the one from Aldi. A wonderful protein, good fat dessert……..sprinkle a sprinkle of sugar free jello (any flavor) on top, stir in…..yummy. Want a key lime……our favorite is lime, tastes just like a pie. Also black cherry is really good. This is if you can use the sugar free product’s of course.
Im doing well....acclimating pretty well to Carnivore....wanted to do 100% dairy free.....have add a little heavy cream to my (decaf) coffee in the pm....no cheese other than some goat cheese every now & then. The only other thing that I've noticed is that its been more difficult for me to do longer fasts, which Ive been doing as Ketovore for over a year. Still doing I F, but often eating earlier becuz Im hungry....might not be eating enough.....havent weighed in......waiting for the 1st.😊
Bummer that we don’t have Aldi in northern CA. we do have grocery outlet. You have tb selective there. I shop around for quality. I like sprouts for sure.
Hi Paula. I can’t believe how fast this month has gone by! Wow. It will be fun to see the results of this challenge. It’s been fun following along. While watching your Aldi haul, I was again thinking how the one near us is not great at all, so I decided to search and see if there are any other locations near me. Turns out there is one very close to the treatment center we have been going to for the last year! And I never knew it! We have to go this coming Tuesday so I am going to definitely stop in and see what they have. Fingers crossed that it’s a good one. I’m excited! Both of your meals look delicious. I have a tenderizer like that. Growing up we had sirloin a lot and it was always tender. Nowadays, not so much. I have no idea why but i know what you mean. Maybe I’ll pick one up and give the tenderizer a try. Although my freezer is filled with pasture raised meats so I should probably use those first, lol! Thanks for another great video!😊
Interesting to see the choices you have in your US Aldi stores but so much of it is processed - maybe not ultra processed- but still processed non the less. I would love a little more choice here in the UK but means I mostly cook everything clean which is good but sometimes I would like something different to prevent the boredom. Love these videos Paula. Thank you for putting so much time into them. Hope Ed is doing well. X
Paula, thank you for doing the Aldi grocery hauls! I picked up a nice package od their thin sliced prime rib to do Philly chessesteaks. Waiting on hoagie molds from Amazon to make them for the Philly cheesesteaks. I love the different recipes and idea's that you share.
Remember, it takes just as long to lose the last 10% of your weight as it did the first 90%! That might be a bit of an exaggeration, but its kind of true. And as frustrating as that is, just keep going. Non-scale victories are far more important than a number on the scale.
I've looked at Aldi for an alternative, but haven't had any luck, and I don't ever remember seeing "grilling cheese." Maybe they don't carry it at mine. 😞
