My mom used to make a muffalata sandwich in a round loaf and slice it in wedges. It was so pretty! Wonderful haul!

Good tip on freezing bacon roll up each slice and flash freeze put in ziploc and take out what you need each time

I cook several pounds of bacon and store it in the freezer. Cooking in oven is the easiest way to cook it. I’m in East Texas and gas is around $2.89. It’s 94 degrees but the heat index makes it feel like 109. It’s HOT!

Hi Linda.. This was on point as usual.. I tried a food hack for using up bones after pressure cooking them for stock.. Dried the bones in the dehydrator and then blitzed them in the Vitamix blender for BONE FERTALISER. .Worked well ...Make sure the bone can be crushed by your hand after pressure cooking... I live in California, but my family lives in Portland so we visit each summer. I love the bread they sell at Freddy's... the Grand Central Como bread. I always buy a few extra loafs to take home and I just stick them in the freezer. :) You don't want to know the gas prices in Ca.🤕 It's ugly! I have a high performance car, so I buy the high octane gas and it's always over $5.

The weather is hot here in North Mississippi. It running in the high 90s. Gas prices are around 2.99 a gallon.

Gas prices in Maine, 3.29, saved 1.10 off that, gas station running a summer contest, free gas for a year or life, hoping I win that. I make a overnight sandwich, using round loaf, hollowed out, spread inside both side with mustard, layer salami, fresh baby spinach, red peppers, (broiled, skinned, cut strips, marinated in olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic) next provolone, red onion rings, more peppers then sliced turkey. Wrap tight, refrigerate overnight, soooooo good, especially if using pumpernickel or rye bread.

Weather here in Northeast Florida is between 85 to 95 degrees its is up and down due to the tropitcal storm Debby our gas prices also goes up and down 3.15 to 3.60 a gallon thanks for sharing your grocery shopping with us!!

@@ohmyet2173 Absolutely, gimme a sec. *takes a sec* The magic search phrase is "laura in the kitchen egg bites" I bought the silicone tray she uses and used a stick/immersion blender because it's what I had handy. These are dead easy and far better than they have any right to be.

Do you have a video of the egg bites that are better than star bucks? I’m gluten free so there isn’t many breakfast options for me when I’m traveling so I end up doing the star bucks bites a lot! If you could direct me, I would really appreciate it!! ❤

Linda! I hope you have time to read this and possibly respond or make a video about my question. How did your canned tuna from about 2 years ago turn out? Also have you ever canned Halibut? I can only find one or two videos on you tube about canning halibut. I have the remainder of our halibut that we caught in Alaska 2 years ago in our freezer and I want to try canning it. I am trying to decide if I should add oil or not. Halibut is so lean I am afraid of it being very dry textured canned. Any way. Any info or opinions would be appreciated!

@@aliciadimaggio7868 I remember those days. lol I wish we'd go back to that. It makes the cost of everything go up. What is strange tough is that out of most of the shopping haul I see on youtube, meat is about the only food item that is way more expensive here compared to the US. Costco prices are almost the same (give or take a few dollars).

@@aliciadimaggio7868 I paid 2.89 in Oklahoma last Friday. Benefits of living in an oil state with low taxes. They get it anyway we pay almost 10% tax on food.
