I started watching when you were still doing major aritzia full videos. I really appreciate the growth and authenticity. I myself also went through the stage when everyday every other day I was receiving packages from aritzia. When I was a kid our family was forced to buy second hand or I would get hand me downs and now I absolutely love to buy vintage or thrifted clothing! Anyways sorry for the life story. I appreciate you Laini!
I’m also pretty modest and I just take inspo from these fits but instead of shorts ,I wear jeans or just long flowy pants! Although I hope she does a video on this :)
Love the concept of this video! I think we all need to realize how many nice clothing items we already have 🥰 and I completely agree with making it your own style rather than buying new.
Absolutely on the same page with you for the all white with the onitsukas, it looks so much cuter with a perfect splash of personality, it's just so you I can't explain it
Curious if you’ve ever done a styling video for how you’d interpret looks from a movie. I feel like you’d slay. Was watching Practical Magic the other day and was thinking about how cute the outfits are / trendy right now
Hey I think someone had already said this but a modest look book would be amazing as a hijabi who loves fashion it’s really hard to find clothes that cover but still look super cute and stylish and Ik you could defo do that xx
Hey Laini, I hope this doesn't sound weird lol but, what bra are you wearing in the ad portion? Maybe you could do a video on what undergarments to wear depending on the fabric?
I love how many videos you e been giving us lately! When you post a new video I’m like “More Lani fashion content!” and then I’m like “She’s working so hard, I hope she knows how much we appreciate her”🫶
A note on crochet, most “crochet” pieces you will see in a store are actually machine knit replica crochet. I’m not entirely sure how I feel about that as someone who knits and crochets. On the one hand I think brands calling things that aren’t crochet crochet is not great for fashion and textile literacy, like I think it’s important to understand and be able to tell the difference between knit and crochet. On the other hand at least they’re not making people in a sweatshop crochet garments by hand. I would say, the best way to go if you want a crochet piece is to purchase from an artist and pay them for their time, yes it’s expensive, and I don’t think everyone is entitled to own crochet pieces. Or learn to crochet, it doesn’t take a lot to start off and there are plenty of free patterns and tutorials. I think in general there should be more appreciation of textile art and the work that goes into it.
