I’ve just revisited this five year old video. I’ve returned from Porthleven having spent four sessions on the very same spot catching bass and mackerel on lures, what an amazing place, early September but had the beach to myself every morning, wonderful.

I fished Loe Bar beach years ago at night when there was a bit of a swell coming in and you had to stay well way from the waters edge as it can be a very dangerous beach to fish. Good to see a video from there that takes me back. I watch lots of UK and worldwide fishing channels and have noticed something on your channel that you do not show related channels. All of the other channels I look at show related channels which is great for the viewers to your channel as it gives ideas of other channels that may have related content and you can find other channels via that. I believe it is generated by RU-vid as a means of sharing and having watched many of your videos and looked at your facebook you do emphasis how sharing is good so do not understand why you have related channels disabled on your channel. Maybe you should enable that facility and share other channels with similar content to yours.
no luck on the bait rods mate or though i did foul hook one but not sure on the specie it kinda looked like a small cod with line down the body. but had a great time on the feathers had around 50 mackerel let about 20 go and had about 8 or 9 good size scad but threw them back as well :)
Where exactly is that spot mate as I'm down that area next month and would love to catch a dogfish to show my kids. Good info and tips with everything. Great video
Great video, off topic question, what's your go to rig and bait for bass, I live in Falmouth and have never caught one and I'm desperate this year haha. Thanks again for the videos, they are very helpful for a novice like me.
Doggies they never let ya down,where there's hope there's dogfish lol sometimes they can be annoying but sometimes there welcome better than nothing I always say
