Love your approach to life, your channel is so different from other, "women of a "mature age and outlook".......your humour is infectious....must be the "northern" vibe..... Totally agree with bureaucracy and "computer says no" type of systems we now face, one step forward and a hundred back......as for bots.....left hanging, typing helòoooooo, anyone there.... Have a wonderful holiday! Here in the states we have a medical insurance fiasco! I spent hours on the phone last Thursday, got nothing accomplished. I had to cancel my surgery because the bloody insurance did not have a clue as to if or how much would be covered.
Oh no huff, I’m so sorry that you had to do that. The world has gone mad, and I’m not sure it can ever recover from the chaos, I’m dumbfounded at some of the things I’ve heard on here. I hope you get your surgery soon, meanwhile take care ❤️

Oh Rita, it was so funny, he didn’t think so, but I did, it was like a comedy farce haha. I do try and see the funny side, but sometimes I despair ❤️❤️
You are so right the world has gone to pot and the GP’s seem to be the worst ever. We have had so many issues over prescriptions than we’ve ever had and trying to get an appointment is nearly impossible. Like you said everything seems to be so complicated nowadays too. I think you did very well with your rant, I wish I could stay so calm 🤣. Another good video so thank you and hope you have a great holiday x
Enjoyed that video!! I ordered a prescription for Sept when I collected my Aug one but needed it a few days early as going away !! Anyway went to collect it and guess what..yes..not there!! They said doc had not sent it through and I would need to contact the surgery, the surgery said it had not been requested by chemist!! I was fuming to say the least!!
Hi Lynn I agree the world has gone mad every thing is so much harder now I get really cross some times . At my GP surgery trying to get a appointment is nearly impossible by the time u get trough to receptionist on phone all appointment gone so have to try again next day so frustrating that’s my rant over 😂 glad your husband got prescription sorted hope u have fabulous holiday enjoy 😊
I know I'm being childish and I really do believe it's your wipers....but I found it highly amusing to keep rewinding the 'squeaking'....very entertaining....I promise I will listen to it again when I get it out of my system, I enjoy your videos....sometimes distilled vinegar helps (on the wipers, don't drink it)😉😂😊
Your daughter is absolutely right. I have had months of similar treatment from our local hospital, just trying to book a simple annual procedure that I have done. I feel like I am on a merry go round with them, it honestly makes me feel like it’s me that’s going mad! Enjoy your holiday, hopefully get some sunshine 🌞
Hi Lynn. I loved this video you’re so funny and you always brighten up my day. You’re a joy to watch. I totally understand about everything changing and the world has gone mad. I’m very lucky with my gp surgery with prescriptions etc but getting to see my GP is very difficult. I remember when I was ill when I was in my 20s and my mum phoning the dr and out he came to the house within half an hour and even popped in the next day to check on me oh how I wish we were back to those days things seemed a lot simpler. Like you I love technology to a certain extent but not all these bots it’s so nice to speak to an actual person but rare. You look lovely I wish my hair would sit as well as yours does it’s so shiny your hair can I ask what you use to make it so shiny please? I hope you have a lovely holiday. Will miss seeing your videos but looking forward to seeing them when you’re back lovely lady. 🥰💕
Oh I remember those day too, I wish we could go back but that will never happen. I don’t use anything special, whichever shampoo is in the shower, and I don’t use conditioner, I find it makes my hair a bit sticky….I let it dry naturally if I have time, and then straighten it a bit with GHDs, that’s it really, nothing special at all. ❤️❤️❤️
Oh Emma, I know a lot of surgeries are like that. One of the reasons for it is that, once a prescription has been dispensed to you, even if you never open the packet, if you don’t use it, it has to be incinerated, so if the GP prescribes 3 months, and you don’t require it any longer, or god forbid a patient dies, millions of pounds worth of drugs get incinerated every year. I can see both sides really…❤️

Hi Lynn that was beaut listening to you on your way home. I feel sorry for your husband, because we have the same thing here. My husband needed scripts repeat ones and had to book an appointment on line. When he got over to the Surgery they told him he didn't have an appt. He did because they confirmed it by text. He waited for 1and half hrs with no other patients. It's quite discusting. Lynn l can't wait to see your packing, l always take too many clothes. Thanks Lynn enjoyed your video ❤❤
Great video Lynn. My sister and I were saying exactly the same about how difficult everything is getting. It took me months to get suitable passport photos that the passport office would accept. Having to do it online from Australia to London. Nightmare. Anyway all ended well as did your husbands prescription. I think they just follow guidelines and can’t move off the lines of script lol. Give me the good olden days No complications. You’ve started me off on a rant now. Take care and have a brilliant holiday.
I share your husband’s frustration Lynn I’ve had problems with my prescriptions since covid began. My husband is on statins and his doctors wouldn’t give him a prescription when we went on holiday so I said to the receptionist if anything happens to him I’m coming for you! She wouldn’t help us at all even though his tablets ran out while we were away. It’s shocking it really is. Have a lovely holiday will look forward to your next vlog be safe 😊
OH GOD Lyn, Practically every day I say to myself “The world’s gone mad’, so can really understand where you’re coming from especially with technology (which I love too by the way). And speaking of ‘service, “what service”..!!! You & I are about the same age & I have to take quite a lot of medication, & so many times that I need prescriptions there’s some sort of mix-up something’s changed or something else goes wrong. Here in Australia the Government is always changing rules & regulations etc…. I actually watched your packing video last night, & when this one popped up I thought “how come you’re not on the plane” ✈️ 🤣😂😁😀😅 Have a great holiday….👙

O Lynn, I am with you all the way. Technology is wonderful when it works and the operator has the correct training to help. Jobs Worth or what. Yes repeat prescriptions are difficult, not for me as I order online, but for hubby its like asking for the moon. Hey Ho!! Have a lovely holiday. See you on the next video.
Ive not had problems with percriptions and doctors but had the runaround with other things and it does my head in, i get so overwhelmed sometimes i have to ask for help from a family member. With the technology as you said in the car you have to laugh at it don't you .
Our pharmacy has repeated my husband’s prescription automatically for years. However he was told this week that the pharmacy hasn’t the capacity to do it any more and now he’ll have to ask the GP every time. This now means that the GPs will have more work and the queue on the phone at the surgery will increase again because everyone will be phoning them for repeat prescriptions. Things are going backwards. Customer service is very hit and miss and takes so long, then it’s hard to understand, difficult to follow instructions or it cuts you off!!!!! Tec is great when it works but it can be so exhausting and frustrating when a small problem becomes a major issue for some companies. Tried to change address recently but no option in robot menu so decided to select are you thinking about leaving us option and low and behold answered fairly swiftly. Hi Jane, at my GP’s they have an app, I just go on the app, tick the things I need, they send the prescription to my nominated pharmacy, then I get a text to tell me it’s ready, no phone calls needed at all, but only repeats are on the list to tick, hence trying to get repeats for my hubby, takes away the need to ring the surgery. I’m not in N Ireland I’m here in Gt Britain. I never need to ring the surgery for a prescription, thank goodness ❤️

Hi there, thank you. Yes I had it done in Turkey on my last day, back in May as you’re not allowed to go in the sun once it’s been done for a few days. I didn’t go intending to do it, but the beautician in the hotel did it, and I can’t see to do my own anymore without my glasses, so I thought I might as well have it done. It hurt while she was doing it, but not after, and I had to put cream on my eyes for 2 weeks, morning and night. I’m so glad I had it done, never regretted it for a second. My lashes are naturally dark so that’s a bonus. I might do another rant, it seemed to go down well haha ❤️
I have a shipping order of meds each month and the web has helped but unless you have a great chemist it’s a nightmare. The service provider I’ve had my dad using them for years they cut his connection and because I Couldn’t find password and they don’t supply the shop I bought it from I couldn’t answer security questions and you can’t speak to someone I just cancelled dd and then they threatened me with all sorts. I was like a Tasmanian devil. Anyhow have a fab time and proper enjoy yourself.
Oh Deb, this world has gone bonkers, what happened to human beings, all we have now is either a robot, or drop down menus to choose from that don’t have your query on it 🙈 honestly, don’t get me going lol ❤️
@@Nanna-M I worked in call handling and feel prehistoric. Got it sorted by making a complaint it said they can’t speak to you but I didn’t listen and then they realised what a mess they had made. But my dads 80 and not tec savvy I’m not much better but stubborn and got a gob like the Mersey tunnel and not afraid to use it. I miss keys in hotel rooms it just makes life harder.
Hi Lynn, I phone my chemist and order what I need, they send an email to doctors, the doctors email them back to dispense items I need. 2 weeks ago I phone the chemist but told them that out of the items requested I needed 2 items urgently. So Monday they noted down what I needed, and Thursday I phoned them to find out about the 2 urgent items to be told the doctors have put my script thorough twice ...Mon and again Weds... you cant make it up... wouldnt mind but the Tramadol Im on are 200mg ea, you'd think they'd be more careful giving script's out like that as they are opiates....have a lovely holiday and see you on the othet side tfs Jax ❤x
