Picked up a set of matte black Piccolo's for around $6 (!!!). I had to giveaway my trusted wan'er to my brother, so this looks like the perfect replacement. I know that the cable on the black one might be different than the one on the silver one, but is it safe to assume that the cable on the black Piccolo is comparable to the Hexa's cable? If that's so, it completely blows out everything under $15-$20. I will let you know how it is when I get mine in around two weeks ETA. P.S. I am in love with that clean matte black design on the Piccolo, I wanted something similar to the Hola's design for a while now since it got discontinued, and the Hexa was out of reach for me in terms of price. I do have a pair of Artti t10's and they look pretty boring, but have an amazing set of accessories (cable, case, and tips can easily sell for more combined than the $40 USD that I paid for the entire set of IEMs). And it's sound quality blows everything I heard out of the park as well. The Piccolo in no way needs to beat my t10s (which stay at home near my desktop PC, they look quite fragile and unsuitable for using as a beater), but if it serves as a reliable, portable set of beaters that can withstand daily usage on a portable setup (I..e laptop, phone), they more than served their purpose (and price).
Damn 6 dollars is a bargain for the piccolo haha. In comparison to the Waner the piccolo has a cleaner bass and an all around more "exciting" sound I think. Yeah, the cable is similar to the one on the Hexa, although both the cable on the Hexa and Piccolo is not as good as nowadays contenders (for example the Truthear Gate, which has a pretty good, thicker cable). I did have the silver one so I cant say 100 percent but I do not think they differ much. I did really like the sound on the Piccolo, tasteful V-shape and it did not sound harsh to me. And sure, let me know what you think of it when you get it!
