Short Takes: 1998 Cadillac Deville (Start Up, Engine, Tour) Rare Color Combo 

This is definitely my favorite year of Deville.

I have a '99, and this car drives like a dream during road trips. I absolutely love it. Keep an eye on that oil. Drain pan gaskets for this body style. Gotta add a quart every 1,500 miles.

True definition of a Cadillac. Biarittz top, pearl paint, peanut butter interior and Vogues Tyres.

i've ALWAYS loved the way the horn sounds on that generation of devilles. and you should've kept the radio on that station! lol.

I just picked up a 98 Deville D'elegance with 60k and its beautiful. I am going to replace all the shocks and bushings up front, my only compliant is the boaty feeling, I want a firmer ride that feels safe in corners.

Man this Caddy is awesome. Very nice Chocolate leather interior, very nice buttons, the door cover doesn't want to fall apart, the tailgate doesn't squeaking, it's in an excellent shape, I want it :)

when i used to street walk i got picked up in this one.

I remember that a local junkyard of mine had one of these that was olive green exterior on olive green interior.

Nice rollers. I own a 1999 Deville I bought from a private individual. Elderly man passed and Widow wouldn't drive it because it was to big for her. I stripped all the chrome trim trim and emblems and hood ornament and replaced all with oem gold. I bought a E&G grille 923 racks as well as 5 Dayton's with 2" white wall's Don't get it twisted I'm white 😃 But can you please tell me about the top and chrome package that runs down the upper body line. Who done the package and what's the name of the top package. Thank you

My 1998 Cadillac Deville with a totally new factory remanned 4.6 L Northstar engine, and all new engine components (everything under the hood) including compressor, radiator oil cooler starter alternator, hose's exhaust system, front struts , tires alignments front and rear, chocolate leather interior with only 1500+/- miles since overhaul, rides like a dream, the engine upgrades warentes it up to 100k Just can"t find an appraisal value for it!! Any ideas on that out there?

the way the dash is laid out is what i'm referring to and how all the controls are cramed into the driver side it looks like a 72 elderado layout.

@hurricanebros Hmmm.. Have you done anything extra to the sounds, like subwoofers?? I heard with the bose, you have to buy crossovers and crap for it to be compatible...

1998 and 1999 are suppose to be the most common years when the Head Gaskets go bad.

These Cadilacs were nice cars but those NorthStar V8’s that they had are horrible! I always see them end up with head-gasket issues and such, witch is why I prefer the 4.9 motors that were in the early-90’s Cadilac Sedan Devilles.

i had one like this that i bought at te auction for $900 the engine was bad it overheated... it was a northstar and it was very expensinve to fix..... i ended up selling it for $500 :( no one would give me more!

Because you would probably have to replace them A LOT.

Beautiful car. Nightmare engine. No wonder there are 6 of those things on that lot. I love GM cars, but that Northstar was bad up until 03ish when they revised the head bolts.
