Video on ignition switch and panel being removed for replacement. On an 86 Mazda B2000 truck. The replacement was due to a found shorted wire that goes from the ignition switch to the coil that provides the ignition spark to the distributor. That particular wire runs from the alternator to the gear box and ignition switch. This wire makes sure that the truck stays on even when the battery is disconnected as long as the alternator is in good working condition.
