We say farewell To Rangi, Minnie, Frank, Kate, Moira, Tamsin, Al, Dean, Blake, Erin, Cassie, Sofia, Paul & Angela. We welcome back Chris Warner & Rachel McKenna and Introduce new Characters Toni, Barbara, Adam, Marshall, Judy, Te Hana, Joe, Mihi, Tama & Patricia.

i remember this ear of ss it was criticised heavily due to the axings but all soaps go through phases and whist id spent 2 years getting back into ss i think in some cases some characters like al and tanzin amd Moira and her family HAD to go as 8it became too boring and stale these big changes did make ss better from silly soap to gritty drama

Agree with you on Tamsin and Al, Paul, Cassie, Angela but I think they should have kept Moira, Minnie, Rangi and Frank. Bringing back Chris and Rachel was great as well as some of the new additions.

also wasn't Rangi actually dismissed from the show i think i read somewhere hence written out quick. Minnie had been there a long time and well time had ended for her character. as much i i liked Moira the rest of the family wasn't really that engaging so i get why they axed them too can't really keep 1 family member in. Sofia i never warmed to in the short time i watched it on itv central, you could also see the slow phasing out of Kate too . Shame the full finale ep of Chrus returning and Franks attack isn't around

morgaineofevil nah Rangi was saved in the axing as well as Nick, Waverley, Donna, Victor, Kate and Matt. But he left for different reasons.i think due to Moira Minnie and Frank being there along time should have saved them. Kate resigned from the show I believe.
