I have heard that you can run wire through your H lid to make the piece even stronger. Could you shed some light on this?

Yes, there is a wire - I've never uses it because I'm not sure how much strength it would really give. I prefer to use internal steels - it's a thin flat piece of lead and it strengthens well - used usually edge to edge rather than in small sections. I'll do a video - although I do mention it in a video coming up in a couple of weeks.
