After graduating from the Naval Academy in 1966, Kenny Moore served three tours in Vietnam, earned two Purple Hearts, a Silver Star, and would later accompany President Richard Nixon's delegation to China in 1972. After three decades in the Marine Corps, Moore retired as a Lieutenant Colonel.

That's one Chi-Com bullet. The steel core separated from the jacket once it passed through the front of the liner. The two pieces exited the back of the liner, but only the steel core still had enough energy to keyhole out the back of the helmet. 1 hole, 1 hole, 2 holes, 1 hole. Glad he missed his target that day. Welcome home sir.

As a nurse, I've cared for many hospitalized veterans. Once I had told my veteran patients that I was a Navy brat and that all the men in my family served all the way back to the civil war they were willing to tell their stories. Bless you, LtCol. Moore and welcome home. Just an observation...I noticed that it looks like a ship's clock on the back wall.

Videos like these always give me a greater appreciation for what our soldiers went through to give us the life we too often take for granted; I hope that god, karma, the the universe, or whatever power may be gives back to all who those sacrificed themselves for thier fellow men and women the rewards they deserve; they've earned it.

The NVA were taught to fire in two round bursts to conserve ammunition. It is sort of like the mobsters double tap.

Usually, maybe, but I remember one ambush when they threw everything they had at me. I was in behind the rim of a thousand pound bomb crater and had just taken out their sappers. 3 sappers with 4 infantry coming at me up a narrow gully. Brave men. They were extremely pissed and probably threw 3 or 4 hundred rounds at me but I was in a position they couldn't reach around the curve of that bomb crater. No 2 round bursts there, I can assure you. Hip- F/2/3 14May 68 in the foothills of Co Roc Mountain. I was in a good prone position firing 3 round bursts. It was like I was part of that M-16.
