Shot with a Helios 44-2! Wildlife Photographer: Karthik Subramaniam 

I recently had acquired a ton of vintage lenses. One particular lens is the Helios 44-2. This is a popular lens among filmmakers who love dreamy bokeh and I wanted to use this for a project!
I managed to get the services of a photographer who recently won Nat Geo Photo of the Year, Karthik Subramaniam. Karthik is a San Francisco-based photographer. He has a wide variety of photography genres including landscape, wildlife, street, and astrophotography. His work has had him featured on many different networks including Nat Geo, BBC Earth, ABC, Fstoppers, Sony, and more!
All of the video footage was shot with the affordable Helios 44-2. This lens is a 58mm f/2 vintage Russian lens produced during the Cold War.
