Shotcut Group Select or Move Workaround 

There is no built-in way to select or re-position multiple clips on the timeline yet, however you can simulate such behavior. If your project is on one track only, it's super simple: right-click the empty space and remove it. The clips on the right will be moved to the left.
If you need to move multiple clips on different tracks (layers) to the right, copy an image clip of the appropriate length and paste it on the left of these clips. Then select and del-key delete the clips you used for padding. Don't right-click-remove them or they will move everything back.
To move clips on different tracks to the left by the same distance, prepare an image clip of the desired length, paste it on the right side of a track and drag it to the empty space, where you want to remove the distance. Do this to all tracks, where you want the movement to the left to happen and right click and remove the clips.
