I've watched a handful of shotcut tutorials on youtube so far, and after seeing this one, the rest of them seem like they made their tutorial after using the program for 10 minutes... Thanks for the vid, very helpful.
What I like most is that he gets the same bugs we could get at home and sorts them out without even predicting they’ll happen. I like that espontaneity
Awesome custom transition, many thx trying it with a project I am working on tomorrow. Attempting a cinematic intro, from a Google earth zoom from space with lens flare overlay vid. Today was the day I went from intermediate to advanced on Shotcut. Thx again sir. 😎
This is awesome! You do move a little fast, but its still well explained enough that its fairly easy to follow if you have an idea of what your doing already. I am so totally going to play around with the custom transitions. I have some super cool ideas I want to try.
hi, this video is great! thanks for letting us know about the custom transitions. But can you please tell me how you make a swirly transition? That would be greatly appreciated.
I am unable to find how to set a fade duration between the clips? If it is possible, can we set that duration as a default? Thank you for an informative tutorial.
Is it not possible to apply a standard transition to all clips you import? I do some videos with 50-100 videos and draging all those clips together is a pain..
Respected Teacher, Greetings of the Day. Could you please tell me how to insert a logo of my institute in a lecture Clip i have Created? Similarly how do i replace my Logo with another Logo orhow to delete my Logo?
Great stuff, many thanks! Here's my issue: once I'm done compiling a sequence of clips with all the transitions, filters, etc., is there a way to copy the sequence and append it to a different project (so as not to have to do everything again). Thanks in advance for any tips.
I have had something similar with final downloaded project. Turned out I needed to fiddle with export settings. Reduced quality by 10% from 100%,export H264 high profile and reduced frame rate. A mixture of these should help 😎
Suas dicas foram preciosas, estou gostando e evoluindo com minhas edições. grata por compartilhar. :) estamos em maio de 2020 e seus vídeos continuam ajudando, bom trabalho.
Hey Tux Designer, i got a question. How do you zoom in smoothly like it was a transition. Like how u can zoom in on things or like zooming out without it looking like you cut the part and it zoomed in.. i wanna know if it is possible to zoom in like a transition. Well, hopefully you can help me, but either way thanks for the tips in the video. Great channel ❤️
Very useful video. Tnx. One question can we change transition time after we once do drag and drop one piece on another? Or made undo after some other steps done in between
That's an interesting question and awesomely we can just drag them around. Dragging the borders works. To undo, adding another video track helps. Here's a guide: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ABLbitTrdso.html
But... Are the transitions destructive? how can I remove the overlapping without clearing the overlapped portion, in order to rescue my two original sequences ?
Good job! Unfortunately, ShotCut doesn't have a Random selection tab. I found out the hard, I laid out fifty pictures on the timeline and had to add Transitions one by one. That sucks! Other than that, it's OK...
Google translates Can you animate in the shotcut text so that it follows a person. Example: A person runs from top to bottom in a zigzag, a text should go to the person. Not with keyframes. A few pixels are marked on the person e.g. Tip of the nose, then the text follows the tip of the nose. I know that from Hitfilm. You have to play the scene first, Hitfilm sets a path on which the text or whatever moves. I hope you understand what I mean.
I tried the transition in shotcut. But after I export the file, the transition part is written invalid with black background. I don't know what's wrong. Help !
@@ahmedshaikh2074 medibang paint pro (it's an art program but it still works. free), photoshop (paid). This was a year ago so I have no idea what I was trying to prove, but those are some that I think are good. Gimp is also free, so that would be great as well.
Awesome video Tux. I have a problem though, I cropped my clips that I want to transition together using the size and position filter, but when adding the transition, it shows the original size of the clip within the transition, then cuts to the cropped size I made it. I don't want it to show the original size of the clip within the transition. Do you know how to fix this?
I'm playing a game called Fortnite, and I'm using the resolution 1440 x 1080 when playing the game. But whenever I try to upload a video, it gets blackbars. I've tried chaning the resolution on the export file, I've tried changing the size. Nothing seems to be working. I really wanna get rid of these blackbars. Please help :/
Shortcut basically has no transition functionality, just few basic effect with little ability to change it. I feel like I have wasted my time learning how shotcut works.
Running out of storage space? Computer caught some malware (use antivirus)? Hard drive degradation might also be one of many possible reasons. If it's only shotcut, then perhaps you had GPU acceleration enabled and it turned off and you have to enable it again? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dJtzkwpbhzg.html
That is a stupid way to do it. In Movie Maker which was a very simple program you just clicked the transition button chose the transition you liked and how long the transition was to be and you click apply to all or not you could apply different transitions to each clip . In shotcut you have to physically drag one clip over another and try to get the overlap time right. Way more labor intensive what if you have hundreds of clips or photos in a video. Good grief.
