Israel is a strategic ally in the Middle East. If we leave there will become a vacuum in that region and potentially foster worse threats to USA. But peace should always be a priority.

Israel needs to stay out of American government. Start with registering AIPAC and ADL as a foreign entity. Israel attack America on 9/11 and the USS Liberty. It wasn’t Islam, it’s zionism that’s the cause of global terrorism. Palestine has a right to defend itself against terrorist Israel. RFK Jr and Nicole are zionist sympathizers who will sell out America just as Biden and Trump. At least, Trump doesn’t lie about it.

Maybe I’m just a pacifist but war or punching back always leads to more violence or at least deep resentment that compounds. I think “winners” in general don’t notice or see the downside from lack of experience.

Golda Meir sent the Israeli army to 15 miles outside Damascus in Syria and they were 50 miles from Cairo in Egypt, the only way Israel stopped fighting was America and Russia said they were going to intervene to stop Israel, so no Golda Meir didn't stay inside Israel's borders. Is she saying she's a fan of Kissinger because he himself said Israel should give some penalty to Gaza, I think she got bad advice and her talking points mixed up.

The US has been involved in the Palestinian conflict since the beginning, particularly since the 1973 Youm Kippur war between egypt and israel.

Someone needs to coach her to be more concise and to come across with more confidence and authority....firstoff, there really is no answer to this question....it is such a cluster fuck going back for such a long time, with so much nuance and contextualization needed....I do think this is a question for genuine military experts....though somone very wise once told me...when you do know yet what to do...wait...in the mean time we could all be sending light and love to the region instead of get reactive and angry....learn about how water is effected by our thoughts....but I digress, At the very high level, Israel represents the only progressive society in the region...for that reason alone it is of strategic interest to the world, imo....

She said she knows they are capable of getting along. Though, we have seen the opposite and teachings that have caused this. But she never said they do not get along inside of Israel or that Israel isn't peaceful. Though, I have not seen a 100% pure peace in them all getting along. You don't see that in America either. I don't see where you disagree with her.

With all due respect, not very knowledgeable and her answer is mostly blame. Where is the critical thinking and understanding of the geopolitical implications. Frankly, if this person is a VP we are in trouble. This is a non answer and comparing you kipper to Gaza is totally off base. Needs to learn history. Israel crossed into Egypt and Syria and was threatening their capitals. Wow, very ignorant.
