If Berube gets the job & he is hard on the players it's needed & lets say hypothetically they succeed or go far in the playoffs under Berube as coach then it will have been worth it to have the coach have a shelf life. Keefe & others had been here & coddled the players so much it creates a soft lazy environment! These entitled players are filthy rich they want to get personal milestones instead of team results these new crop of leafs here are soft, entitled, lazy, they lack spine & fortitude to do the things it takes to win like winning puck battles going infront of the next consistently etc etc. If Berube gets the job at least he will hold them accountable. If a player isn't performing Berube will sit or bench them which is what is needed if a player wants to play lazy sit his ass so he gets embarrassed this isn't about feelings it's about winning & showing heart & competing at the highest level. I also disagree that players who haven't won the cup should be getting paid as if they've won it... ugh ugh first you win the cup then you get over 10 million. Paying players who haven't won anything only promotes laziness or bad habits bc they already got paid over 10 mil. I like how Pit & Chi paid there stars first they won the cup then they deserved what they got paid. see, I don’t think that Soucy should’ve got suspended or even looked at. The only reason why that’s crosscheck to the face is because of the cross check he took from Zadorov in the back and if he didn’t take that crosscheck then that crosscheck Soucy threw would’ve landed right in the chest of McDavid. Zadorov threw it and that lowered his body to make it available, but in the defense of Soucy he threw it at the exact same time that Zadorov threw his.
