Should Capcom Remake RESIDENT EVIL 1 Again?

Their remake beside the first are all mediocre shit. All have bits and pieces missing, and paid contents that was already in the original. Charging people for original RE4 music is another level of fuck!

@zZiL341yRj736 I hate Resident Evil 4 and beyond in general. Hated the original at the time and hated the remake + DLC - Glorified wave shooters. I was very satisfied with the Resident Evil 2 remake though.

i wouldn't want a combined one but they should definitely do a version of zero and link the two together. Have rebecca be more unhinged and actually bring up her experiences in zero for starters, and have clues/files throughout spencer mansion that mention the zero training facility/leeches etc. Then release zero as a Seperate Ways size DLC that focusses more on co-op and action. Would be a perfect game if done correctly.

That would actually be amazing because my biggest hate with RE0 is how it doesn't work very well as a prequel to 1.

I’d like it to have more of the style of RE4R when it’s almost the same as the original but more, but in this case, almost the same as RE1R but with more.

RE5 I feel is the most anticipated, Wesker looks great given the benchmark set by the original. Also the key plot and story with Spencer, Wesker and Chris, and Stairway to the sun flower

They should give Dino Crisis franchise a chance but RE fans just seem does not get enough of having the same games remade again and again

looks? yes. But it crashes on newer PCs and its fixed camera is quite unfriendly for modern audience. With new remake, your old game won't disappear. It will simply give newer players chance to experience the game with newer technology. Not to forget the 2002 doesn't even have canon ending. That's what remake coould fix.

@@billzco6137 Agreed. The original gave the impression that the playable areas were actually used for something other than the setup for S.T.A.R.S. and the remake lost that charm. It just felt like a movie set rather than an actual mansion and research facility.

The first 2 animated movies were good (degeneration and damnation)

The CGI movies are all I need at this point. I wish they would just go to the point of adapting the game stories in that style.

I doubt it will happen. A ton of work goes into that and it's like making a separate game entirely with it's own balances and the game itself will need to be made in a way to compensate that mode existing. It's even more complicated than a first and third person option. There's a very good reason why they haven't already been doing this and why something like the re5 lost in nightmares dlc only included it as a Easter egg for the very first section. It's probably not worth the cost or the work to them to have something like this. I understand the desire for it I would love it too but it's just not a realistic expectation.

Just wait a mod that does it. It's a time problem. When they release a DLC they re gonna be tired already

It's absolutely nothing like that. If anything it's like it happening in a comic book, and then happening in a movie, and then happening in a video game adaptation. It's all under different mediums. Obviously this isn't gonna be an entirely different medium but adding something like over the shoulder it might as well be. Which also allows the many people like my friend that hates fixed cam to be able to enjoy it. Even as someone that does like the classic games I've never been able to get into re1 or re0. They do nothing for me while something like re2 original I still to this day consider my favorite game ever made. The reasons to remake resident evil 1 again go way deeper than what you are reducing it to.

Na I disagree. I've just completed RE4 remake gold edition and adas separate ways. And I can honestly say it's by far the best resident evil I've played and probably in my top3 greatest games of all time. And the graphics won't get alot better than that. Im 39 and grew up with the resident evil games and I think they should all be remade every 15÷ years. Besides capcom are going to do it regardless because there's way too much money involved

Capcom is never gonna end resident evil. If anything they will keep going until the wheels fall off and it stops selling. If it sells it will keep going and that's the end of it. They even have it set up in such a way that the world is in constant danger of bio weapons and entire military divisions are dedicated to fighting it. There's not much of a story really to end with resident evil it's a never ending thing that simply has their sagas like the Ethan winters storyline which seems to have been opened and closed now. And outside of the limited involvement of Chris they were already testing the waters with leaving the old characters behind with that storyline. The resident evil series is definitely outliving you.

it already ended. or do you really count resident evil 7 or village as a resident evil game?

​@@wrathoftheflyingspaghettim850But the truth is that fixed camera and tank controls (not much the zombies) are the core, the origine, the base of Resident Evil, so every games who don't have this gameplay style is not really at 100% a Resident Evil game, it's more like games who try to emulate features of what Resident Evil games were in the first place but never truly master it. of course there is recent games that great and good, but there's not really any 'Resident Evil games' anymore since a long time.
