@bella chi God intentionally separated himself from the 'gods' (idols) of the world. The best way to worship him is walking in his footsteps and not worshipping him as others worship idols. I personally like to wake up every morning and greet him (sometimes just saying good morning, sometimes just going over what I have to do that day). Including Him in every decision we make through our day is worship. The tree thing is the way idols were worshipped.

No. Where in the Bible does it say that Jesus birthday is Dec 25? Where does it say that we should celebrate it every year? If it is that important, it will be written. If you are uncertain about this "holiday", then why risk your soul over it? That verse is about cutting down a tree and carving an idol out of it and layering it in gold or silver. I don’t celebrate Christmas, but I also think that verse is being taken out of context.
