I remember this topic popping up once on a regular Bible study at college and also remember someone putting a point forward by saying it's all fine as long as u maintain ur standards and don't indulge in any of the stuffs u think is not appropriate and not approved acc to ur conscience. And also added by saying it's a good place to show that ur a child of God... I wasn't fully convinced and I really strived hard seeking a answer to this and after few months I somehow got convicted about this by a small thought, which was, my few days God has granted me on Earth should be maximally used for His glory and with Him. Why should I put myself in places where there's chance of fall no matter how strong m in faith but rather spend it with Him enjoying His presence. We generally find such questions pondering our minds when we aren't full of Christ. Once Christ takes the lead in everything, rest all will fade. I still haven't filled myself with Him yet and I believe He is still working in me!
This is super hard for me because I live with my parents right now, who are not truly believers, and the rest of my family also does not believe. So, I feel almost forced to interact with them and it’s hard to get away from it. But I’ve sort of accepted that it is a situation that God has granted so that I can shine His light through to them as well as grow my fruits. I would not, however, intentionally put myself in a situation where I would be surrounded by unbelievers for long periods of time if it is not for missionary purposes.
So when I first became a Christian I had to stop hanging out with the crowd I ran with before. For a while I spent a lot of time alone (it was a good time for me to study God's word and grow in this new faith) but eventually I got lonely so one day I cried out to God for just one good Christian friend! Fast forward a couple months and I had a small group of girl friends that loved talking about God a pushing eachother out of our comfort zones (in a godly way). Fast forward a few years from that and I have many amazing Christian friends that I don't have to worry about being pulled into bad "fun" by. Basically, if you don't have Christian friends, ask God. He provides 😍
I agree with you. The ppl whom I surrounded myself were worldly ppl and I didn’t have any Christian friends but my family , anyway long story short I slowly convinced myself to go clubbing with “my friends” and i believed the lie at the time that it would be okay for a Christian to go and set a “good example”by not drinking . It only took one night to turn everything upside down , as I continually began to attend to events like so it led my flesh to desire more . It’s easier for your friends to pull you down than for you to pull them out . We must change our playground and playmates.
Evil company corrupts good behavior... We are called to be Children of the light. Not of the night... How often do you go to a club during the middle of the week and during the day? Plenty of time in the day to have fun with friends. And you can do it any day of the week.
Just watching it now, there’s plenty of great ways to have fun without the whole clubbing and rubbish that only leads to trouble and regret . You can always go the movies or out for dinner or have a clean good party with friends at home or a friends house

This is so true! Last week I was invited to go out to eat wings and unfortunately there was alcohol there and the environment just wasn’t for me. But I’m thankful to God that I didn’t enjoy it because it means I’m growing as a Christian

Yes! It's definitely important to surround yourself with people who hold the same/similar values as you for sure. I think it's important to be aware of what your convictions are and what are concrete "no's". Then even if a few of your friends don't agree with it, that they aren't going to pressure you or put you in compromising situations. But surrounding ourselves with people who will build us up is really important, and finding solid Christian friends is so key. I don't think that we have to completely avoid all people who disagree with or live differently than us, but to be guarded and discerning for sure. To check our hearts and minds as we are in situations with people who believe differently, is important. I think it's the same with places to an extent, but I also do think that avoiding places where sin is happening overtly and nonchalantly is a very wise move, like the example you guys gave with the clubs. Some people may be called to go to these places and minister, but I personally would otherwise steer clear (even if my church decided that's what we were going to do, but I think that could be due to my dislike for crowded and noisy areas haha). I have so many testimonies when it comes to friends. A lot of the people where I live claim to be Christian and maybe are Christian but are still very much so living in the world. And their excuse is “God is still working on me” or “Jesus loves me no matter what I do” and yes that may be true but do you love him? Because if you love Him your goal wouldn’t be to continue sinning. When Paul was preaching he said “repent and sin no more” Not repent and live how you want bc “God still love you !1! wohoo” situations like this remind me of The Bible verse: Romans 6:1-2, “Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?” Also, watching made me have the giddiest (i didn’t even know that was a word until now 😂) feeling because I have a Christian youtube channel and I am young and I talk about God ALOT like there is no cliche “oh I’m a Christian” but never mentioning the way God is moving in my life. So I find it rare and I am really grateful that God has allowed me to find a channel like this
I think, wherever we go we should be establishing and growing God's Kingdom (Aka kingdom = where the King reigns). I like to ask myself, "Are these people taking me away from God or growing me closer to God?"...OR ... "Am I influencing the atmosphere with God - without being influenced negatively?" The only reason a Christian should be at a club is to minister to people...and he/she should be with people on the same mission who are keeping each other accountable. If you think for a second that the club will influence you, then do not go. Its all about growing the kingdom (aka God's reign) in everything we do. Definitely dont go to party. Lol Also, I liked the bloopers lol.😂

Great video and topic. I agree! Everything we do should glorify the Lord. Even if we're not technically sinning you don't want to play with fire. You can tell who is lukewarm and who is not by their fruit. We are a witness to the world, let His light shine bright in us.

I remember having an old friend. My old friend would want me to keep drinking alcohol on the weekends I got saved by the grace of God and I gotten to the point where I got sick of drinking alcohol every weekend. UI remembered implying telling my old friend that I am changing I don't want to go out drinking to get drunk. Because of my Christian Faith I stopped going to night clubs. I stopped from being drunk. So my old friend went his separate ways. I feel so much better today. :). I do not regret stopping getting drunk. My old friend was pulling me down. I sense that my True Almighty God the Lord Jesus Christ did changed me for his Christ Jesus eternal glory Amen.
I can 100% say that being around only negative and toxic people can make you just like them even if you don't start out as someone toxic. But that's also only if you don't have any positive influencing you in your life. I would say that ever since I've found you on RU-vid it's been awesome hearing your perspective and insight. I'm tryin' to put more positive forces into my life, I came from a toxic life can honestly say that Jesus changes anyone who's humble. I'm glad that you made this video on this topic. I went clubbing once or twice in my life in my early adult life and can say that they didn't bring happiness for me. I despised almost the whole scene itself. The only moment I enjoyed was dancing on the floor. But even then, the music was atrociously geared towards sexuality and indecency. Thanks for your voice ladies. Keep on speaking the truth.
Absolutely correct. I have been going to clubs and bars without stopping going to church. But i always dont feel good in those atmospheres. I feel deep inside i dont belong there. There is nothing important for developing spiritual life than just wasting time and giving oneself to lustful desires.

I am in same position as you, dear, with an unbelievable husband, but God tells us not to divorce from him, unless from cheating or violence(maybe), otherwise we need to pray for them, that God convince them that they need to be saved too... So try to be a good wife to win your husband for God, as is writing in the Bible, but remember that you are already one flesh, one body with your husband in frint of God because you 2are married and ofc i think you 2 already had part of love of each other... I somewhat agree with you guys, but I also know that there's that thing called self control too, that God gave us for a reason. I can go out with my friends to a bar, not get drunk and have quality time with them. You can also go to a club and dance without being dirty about it.
I can’t go to the club anymore because the moment I see people dancing salsa I feel a deep desire to start dancing sensually and let loose, as I did before becoming a Christian. I have to keep myself out of temptation! Out sight out of mind!
Great job starting with a scripture! I agree, there's not much to be gained by being in unrighteous environments where you will not be effective for Christ. I will, however, add there may be reasons to be in those environments-maybe to support a friend and be their protection and/or company--but you have to make sure you're set apart in your actions, thoughts and motives while being there. Let's not be legalistic about it but use Godly wisdom and always get advice from those who know you.
NO, If you are a Christian you should not be going to bars and clubs. Either hang out with your family, spend time with your special someone or find something else that is moral in the eyes of GOD. GOD bless.

Excellent video. Finally some sisters in Christ who agree with me. 1 John 1:5-7 God is light in him is no darkness at all. If we claim to be in him yet continue in darkness we deceive ourselves. We cant walk with God and play in darkness. What we hang around we become. More times the bad will influence you before you will influence them. It's best to keep away from darkness and not even play with it a little . A little yeast(sin) corrupt the whole batch. I though I could hang with my old friends and be a christian , I learned quickly nope it won't work . If they drag you down ,or I influence your flesh more than your faith then leave them alone.
I went to a bar about a month ago in Columbus. I went to a skillet concert with a friend.( I didn't know it was at a bar). I use to think I shouldn't go to these places. But these are the places that people are that really need Christ. Even Jesus dined with sinners. I wouldn't suggest doing it on a regular basis. I did though have a great conversation with someone at the bar about Jesus. As Christians it can be SO easy to shelter ourselves. (Especially those who grown up in the church). Holiness is separation from sin. Not separation from sinners.
Let's be honest, clubs are all about lust and booze. I've had my fun in them and the pumping tunes but it's time to leave them in my past. It's not like I could share the gospel over the noise anyway. I say that as someone wanting to be a DJ for quite some time. Covid-19 has closed them for now anyway. And if clubbing, I mean Friday night is the beginning of the Sabbath, and whilst Saturday night is the end of the Sabbath (so the lesser of two evils) it doesn't mean you go to living unrighteously the rest of the week.
I go worshipping in the sanctuary rather than clubbing, the spiritual and health benefits are infinitely better. There is far less likely to be a police raid, gun violence and someone stabbed. I dance holy in the sanctuary, drink...fruit smoothies in the sanctuary, listen to holy music, speak holy conversation, and have fun with ALL my clothes on, and I am able to walk upright and not stumble when leaving the sanctuary. I leave the sanctuary in a stronger and healthier state of mind rather than leaving with an inebriated mind that is twisted like a pretzel and that is more prone to Alzheimers and dementia disease
I never really been to club scene i always been a house party, patio party. Mustly friend houses. Im avoiding party people im just trying to be in my best behavior.
Do an in depth study on the word reveling from Galatians 5:21. Reveling translated in the ancient Greek word komos, doesn’t mean simply having a party or a good time. It means unrestrained partying. In the verse reveling implies out-of-control behaviors that usually accompany intoxication, partying, and unbridled lust in which consists of sexual immorality, all sorts of immorality, and carousing. Also, at the end of the verse it says such like, therefore going to night clubs for example that have works of the flesh noted here is a sin. God is not silent on clubbing but he talks specifically about reveling and such like in his Word with great detail, you just have to do an in depth study of his Word. 2 Timothy 2:15 says to study thy word not read it. You have to study and go in-depth as well as looking into other resources to get a strong and deep knowledge, understanding, and wisdom of God’s Word. Amen.
I never regret my nights out drinking. I love them all and I love getting numb and laughing it up. Each night is something to remember. I always now that their is another weekend where I can get ready to go to the bar. I have a bar songs playlist that i listen to before going to the bar. It makes me happy and it is so emotional. Bartenders alll love me and they can’t wait to the next time that I come in. Going drinking is fun and you enjoy your time out. When I use to go to church it was boring. God this god that Jesus this Jesus that and it is like nobody had anything else to talk about. I fell asleep during those gatherings as well. People always talking Jesus this and Jesus that. It got so boring. Every other word was Jesus. Or something. It got so boring and I hated going to after church dinners with family. I mean. Uggg…. I am so glad i left the church and doing the true work of a pianist. Eating and taking time to enjoy it is fun. When you are drinking you feel free and flying. You feel free instead of alone in a church with people who don’t really care about you. Just checking their messages when they are suppose to bee listening to the preacher and wondering what is for dinner when they can’t even tell you what the sermon was about. Or to busy gossiping about other’s clothing. That is stuff that you don’t hear about in a bar. Have a wonderful night out drinking and you will bee fine. You can have a fun night out drinking without getting arrested and doing stupid stuff. There is ways to do it. Go to the bar drink and bee happy and enjoy everyone’s company. Honestly church people are reallly boring to bee around. They dont’ have anything else to talk about but Jesus god and savior. It is like going to an office party at work for example. All people want to do is talk about their work life and what???? It is suppose to bee a relaxing time but there are those people who just talk about work work work everywhere they go. Christian people are no better. Then when they get in their chur buildings they cry, they stomp and shout and say that it is Holy Ghost when it is hypocrites. Hypocracy is what the church people are. There is no love in that. At the bar nights out are something to remember. People see that you are enjoying. They take interest in what you are drinking. They will pay for your nights out. It is the action of love not just saying they love you. Church people can’t even do that. Church people are the most hypocrite. They really are. Acting out. I mean. Pray loud in public places so they can bee seen like a spectical. They love to make a spectical out of themselves they want others to see them and hear them like they are goodytooshoes.
I personally think that once to about 5 times a year isn't bad at all. Most of my friends who aren't Christian or aren't walking with the Lord want to meet at places like bars to talk and catch up. I end up talking about the church life and God's move on Earth anyway. It's not a bad thing to go, in my opinion, but as long as you aren't pursuing and actively going because you want to. I don't want to. I go to meet with my friends one one one and talk to catch up or have small talk. I still want to represent the Lord our God at the bars and clubs because He is our God and I shouldn't be ashamed of Him, no matter where I am. If you go to bars and clubs, it's not bad. AS LONG AS you don't make it a habit, don't get drunk, don't use profane language and dress inappropriately, and don't so anything that wouldn't diminish your walk with the Lord
Okay so I am 12 and I am thinking about Dedicating my life to Christ/getting baptized. I want to have fun when I get older but if it isn’t Christian like then I don’t want to then. I want to enjoy life, but be a Christian. Can you tell me some things I can and cannot do as a Christian when I’m older? :)
Getting good Christian friends is a good place to start :). But other than that always ask the Holy Spirit to guide you everyday. I'm also struggling with this and I'm in my early 20s. All the best!
My friends are so fun but they are worldly and for some reason they think I’m a stoner and the least innocent 🤷🏻♀️ we’re 16. I’ve literally never had a boyfriend and I’m super straight edge. I talk about Jesus and the Bible all the time too. But I think I know where I can find good Christian friends this school year.

I did my share of clubbing and bar hopping in college. It can be fun....if it's not done to excess. It gets to be a problem when drinking to excess (e.g. Irish car bombs or Jaeger bombs), or with degenerative motives such as hooking up. Personally, I don't think there's anything wrong with going to a bar to watch a baseball/football game and having AT MOST 1-2 drinks. Clubs are a bit harder to justify, but can be fun if done absent of the sexual motives.
It is a sin if you not going to get drunk and sleep around with people then you just making friends and you can tell them what God did for you and what he is doing
