People 65 years and older can receive a second dose of COVID-19 vaccine booster each year, leading some to wonder if high-risk individuals younger than 65 years of age should also get additional doses. In this video, Dr. Offit describes why it is reasonable for people with high-risk medical conditions, such as obesity; diabetes; or chronic lung, heart or kidney disease; or people who are taking immune-compromising medications, to receive a second COVID-19 booster. He also discusses the timing of additional doses.
