I recently suffered my worst ever depressive episode (having suffered from depression on and off for the past 25 years). I was in a somewhat catatonic state when my girlfriend found me a therapist and I agreed to try it out. My therapist has done 2 hypnosis sessions so far (I've been seeing for 6 weeks now on a weekly basis). These have proven incredibly effective: through visualising myself and imagining what it feels like to be happy, I'm learning new techniques to shape my mood, as well as accessing elements of happiness and optimisim that I did not believe were within me

I'm 34 now been locked in my room since I was 14 with bad depression anxiety and panic attacks no friends no family no sort of a life at all no motivation. Sadly a true story. Tried all the medication you can think of over the years nothing ever changed anything I'm considering hypnotherapy but obviously with the way I've existed I've not got cash yet so would need to try and find a way to get that as I guess they don't do it on the NHS lol. I really do feel very bitter these days as of late to really feel like I slipped through the net
I'm slightly older but have lived a similar life and feel much the same about it. It's exhausting, but we just have to keep looking for answers. Don't give up, Martin.
You see yourself as a victim. For a moment, try to GET OUT OF YOURSELF. There's whole life and world around you. The whole universe, much, much bigger and smarter than our brains. Many shaken people develop depressive state of mind as a habit and ruminate. It leads to depression and anxiety. But you have to realize - you can be your own worst enemy or the best friend - don't bully yourself but also do not pity yourself! Step by step. First, nurture and love yourself - you are all that you have (we all are, and that's why we are craving for connection) and this is your time, your oportunity to feel and to live. Get out from that room and love your whole being, your body, heart, sould and mind with all of attachments, good or bad. Anxiety and depression are part of you for now, but like all feelings and thoughts they will change and will go. Stop ruminating, live through your anxiety (it will fade when you start to love it, you'll see) just get up and get out.
Hypnotherapy for treating depression? Always! How often have I been told too what Mark reports here. I was very lucky to find my way out by hypnosis, and the proper education about depression in his courses. I am a witness for both sides.

Get upstairs and get outside to park, beach, national park, nature walk, somewhere around people exercising or where they jog. Just warm up by stretching and moving just walk. By being near otherwise "happy situations " the happy feeling can find You! Return the dog or walk the dog in these places. Isolation is the enemy not You. Try yoga, Meditation, walking barefoot on pest free grass. Smile....
Until 2 years ago I thought that with the right help I might reach a point that I could 'control' depression but never 'cure'. That was until covid had my already bad depression start to reach rock bottom. I took up hypnotherapy and in 6 sessions I went from someone depressed for roughly 45yrs to being 'cured'. I stopped meds (with dr advice) and 2 yrs better still love life. I have 'issues' I'm still working on but that is due to the environment I'm temporarily stuck in which hypnotherapy has helped to manage much better but until I can get a place of my own the toxic environment will still play a part. Still the depression aspect is cured

I’m looking for help for my teen who is DX with GAD. She is very resistant and I Meds have not been successful. Seems more holistic options useful as I can use many of these techniques with her that you mention in your videos.
THANK YOU FOR SO ELOQUENTLY EXPLAINING THIS. You are Right On. I am currently sitting in my vehicle experiencing EVERY aspect. I am “studying” because J am the only help I have to beat this problem. I have a impressive IQ, however I am homeless and financially challenged. I am NOT ingesting mind altering substances thankfully, however I am depressed daily having “no place to go” in order to feel grounded. I have businesses I built and more but depression ‘depresses’ me so severely that sometimes (as you spoke) I cannot physically move. I will continue to engage your knowledge and fight the good fight. In Canada, there are reports of profound improvement with Psychedelic Therapy. It should arrive in UK within 10 years. Sufferers may need to seek it out.
I spent the evening with my husband last night. He's been dead 8 years as of yesterday. I'll never forget his voice, the way he smells, how it feels when he hugs me. Hypnosis is the best thing that ever happened to me 🥰
Ideally look for a Health Care Professional that practices hypnosis. Ask for credentials , experience and testimonials. Or for a Professional Hypnotist than can work as a team with your doctor. It all depends of your problem and legal regulations in your province or state. Everyone can be hypnotized so, if you don't experience the hypnotic state the first time, try again with a different person. I hope this help.
If you believe the devil exists, it will become a reality in a form of self hypnosis that will become real in the mind. Split personality is the two sides of the mind battling between what is true or false. What is programed in the mind can also be taken out.
Love yourself first and your emotions will ignite. Also, seek therapy possibly meds if needed, don’t depend on a man to love you unless your willing to accept and love yourself first. Also, your hormones may play factor as to why you don’t feel emotions. Get a full physical to rule out any medical conditions.
