Didnt watch the video. But as a guy who rides a bit of everything to the tune of 10-15 thousand miles a year (mostly depends on my road to mountain bike ratio), get the gravel bike. If you don't know which one to get, get the gravel. It will be equal to a general road bike in performance with just a tire swap. It will likely have better gearing as most road bikes are geared for speeds very few ride at (and a bigger struggle when climbing). You can set a gravel bike up to have virtually the same aerodynamics of a road bike. Gravel bike will have more comfortable handling characteristics than a good road bike for someone who isn't experienced (but similar to an endurance road bike). A gravel bike should have disc brakes, which with some exception are better than rim brakes in every way. A gravel bike likely being easily set up tubeless is a win for me, but maybe not the entry level rider. There is no reason to not get a gravel bike unless you already know exactly what you want already from experience. That said, my gravel bike never gets ridden. But I can give you specific reasons why I dont use it. If you don't know any better, then the gravel bike is the better option, even if you just run it with road bike tires. Edit: watched.
