I need your help deciding! Today I hit up Aquafiesta 2018 to see what they had on display and for sale, in case I could buy stuff for my pets and ant colonies. The animals and equipment I saw there was incredible! Come geek out with me for another day of pets and animals, both wet, furry, and scaled! Let me know what you think regarding my question!

My bio is pretty random: In short, I am a professional singer/songwriter from Toronto, Canada who moved to Manila, Philippines which sorta became my Hollywood because my first RU-vid channel MIKEYBUSTOSVIDEOS grew popular due to Filipino comedy videos. Meanwhile, I'm also a big biology geek who is obsessed with ants, so I built an internationally operating ant business supported by another popular channel called ANTSCANADA, and well basically, today I travel and tour around the world doing what I love so I wanted to start this vlogging channel, in hopes to encourage you guys to follow your dreams no matter how random, by showing you what happened when I followed mine! You just never know where life will take you when you listen to the yearnings of your heart!

This video reminded me of the October Pets Celebration celebrated during that month in where a mall gets to be the venue of a pet expo.I was once a part of an organization at school called Pey Science Society back when I was still a VetMed Student(I shifted to Occupational Therapy last year) and we had the priviledge to set-up a booth during the event and displaying mostly exotic animals(snakes,turtles,lizards,scorpions,tarantulas,hedgehogs,sugar gliders) that are the pets of the members of the organization.That group has since been disbanded though after the president of the organization graduated. Also,it would be nice for a betta to be the channel mascot.They're very low maintenance and they can recognize the person who feeds them.I own one myself(a male red-colored Plakat Betta)and lives in a 15 gallon tank(Planted with a submersible filter) with a small school of Espei Rasboras.The betta always rushes to the side of the tank whenever it notices me near the tank.

Turtles and tortoises can be social too! It just takes longer and even showing it they "don't do much", it's about their personalities too. When they are little they may just run about, but as time passes they come to acknowledge you easiy. Some can follow you around for no reason when kept outside a cage or terrarium, some do welcome being holded up for short times. But overall they're very independent creatures, they don't get lonely when you're away or minding your business.

I choose tortoise, I've seen how you keep Malaya and how anxious you are whenever you left her at home for like weeks and saw how devastated you are when you lost her. It would be a different type naman, kasi you had sanggol before na di ba? Also we will be waiting and watching how it grows in a few years since tortoise live a long life, I can introduce it to my future children and apo. Also Ate Elsie would love that, lesser poop :D

We owned Flowerhorns, Iguanas, & some animals i dont remember. We owned alot of animals before when I was about 3 or 4 years old, because my Dad likes to pet reptiles and and fishes. Im missing our pets now😭 I'll buy for myself some day...Maybe tomorrow😂

A bird would be a nice departure from your other pets. As i'm sure you know however, they are messy. We have an 18 yr. old African Grey Parrot that we love. Birds have such amazing personalities that you can only relate to if you have had one.

I didn't have a chance to respond yesterday regarding a new mascot so he is my two cents. Tortoises would be the better choice because you are away so much; however, they are dull acting compared to a bird. You're personality would be more for having a bird but I worry that a bird would miss you when you are away. Whichever decision you make I am sure the M-Squad will be thrilled for you.

Wow, I did not know the fishtanks can look that good! Very nice. I can see why you love this topic, while RJ may not. This is a very specialized interest/hobby, like mountain climbing or playing games (on a Playstation), rebuilding old cars. ***Pet choice: tortoise***. Malaya, rest her soul, seemed to require specifc environment and care. Research "tortoise" first. If you want affection, get a puppy, but you are away a lot...so... ?

You went to Rob Mag , live close by. Just saw that this Tues and I immediately thought how you would like to see these too, it turns out you already did. Hahaha!😂 I was liking tank #8 because it has super small shrimp inside the tank swimming. Love it!!! Get a 🐢 though as it lives longer, or a 🐢 neck for your trip to Canada. Whichever you prefer. 😁

Between a bird and a tortoise I'd say the tortoise is probably better suited for your lifestyle. You are often away from home for long stretches of time and a tortoise won't really care, as long as he has his basic needs met it won't make any difference if it's you or someone else providing them. That being said, I'd honestly probably not get any more animals if I wasn't the one at home caring for them, simply because I'd want to be there to enjoy my pets. I mean, what's the point getting something if you hardly ever see it? Just my two cents. I love what you've been doing with the ants though, I'd pour even more attention into those if I were you. :)

Come to Oregon Mikey! You can meet my pet Squirrel Honey. Lol I rescued and rehabailitated her since She was 3 weeks old. She has a paralyzed foot so she'll stay with me for life. They can live up to 20 years in captivity.
