yeah I'm not getting rid of my dog. I don't care what Arabs think. We come from different cultures. my dog is 11 years old I'm not going to ruin his peaceful life dogs do die from heart break and separation anxiety. plus my dog is a protector for me like EVERY dog is that is worth anything. Allah knows my intention. and my dog never lol. he's actually a very boring dog he just sleeps. because he is OLD.
Don’t get rid of your dog. Allah would not want a dog who has deeply bonded with you and loves you to be abandoned. This would be deeply traumatic for the dog who loves you as his family. There are punishments for causing an animal suffering or distress.
I'm muslim and i have a dog, there is no where in Quran said that the dogs are prohibited, lots imams that have no experience in life, they just read lot books without having common sense. Dogs are super loyal and very amazing creature. by the way it says that you can use the dog for hunting, so obviously will use capture any with his teeth that has his saliva. so dogs saliva is clean. please Islam is religion of peace and modernity, stop listening to people like him: no knowledge of life in general. only his answers are halal or haram. I did not know pets were prohibited ive been a Muslim for 12 years and ive never in my life heard that pets are prohibited to keep in islam and i cant just give away my dog to some random or sell it just like that its not that simple to do so as my dog is with me for 8-9 years now and he is my only best friend so once allah decides to peacefully take him away one day i will never ever have pets ever again, it breaks my heart knowing this because now im stuck and worried and dont know what to do :(
I had a dog before i reverted and i got another one after without knowing the hadith. But the thing is i cant get rid of them because it would be a bad deed for me to abandon them. 1 they love me and i love them and they have a strong connection to me and me to them. This is the loyal nature of dogs. And if i got rid of them how would i know what would happen to them? No i dont have anybody who will take them and dog shelters are cruel and they may never even be adopted. And if Prophet Muhammad pbuh actually said that that was a time when there were no imunizations for rabies and things of the like, and there was not alot of soap around either. And this ruling doesnt fit in this day in age in America because dogs are overpopulated and they need loving homes. They arent allowed to run free over here, which many of them are so domesticated they wouldnt survive in the wild.

Surah Al-kahf 18:22 - Allah mentions the dog 3 times in this one verse alone even though there’s no need for it. The dog in this verses indicate that its inside the cave protecting. Dogs nowadays protect people in different ways (sniff bombs, help the blind, detect cancer, etc.). Dogs CANNOT Protect you from outside. It can only warn you. Don’t believe this nonsense. dogs have helped mankind since ancient times as hunters and protectors because of their keen sense of smell. dogs can be trained to sense ailments and they have become guide for the blind and have helped physiological wellness for older people and children as dogs are capable of showing so much love ❤️. why would we want to deter some being that have so great use given by god ? Dog owners will be dead by the millions if the claim was true .after a lot of cross breeding and domestication , these dogs are unlike the wild hyenas and i think it was meant for wild dogs . what was written 1400 years ago was applicable as dogs were used for picking up or holding down hunted animals using their teeth , and most likely the saliva transmitted disease affected a lot of people. we dont live like those times anymore .
You have a good point, dogs help and protect their owners but if you refuse to do what allah has prescribed and not remove whats prohibited in your life then youre ignorant and disobeying allah and arguing with him, if you truly believe in allah you need to trust him and in order to trust him you do not have to trust anyone or anything as your protector because he is the only protector that youll ever need to guide you through so if you call yourself a believer and you disobey most things allah prescribed for you to do and what not to do then youre a hypocrite and allah does not like hypocrites.
I was badly abused for most of my life as a child, my dog (she died three years ago my new one is the same breed) and Allah was the only thing at the time keeping me alive. I wipe the floor the clean, it’s above a carpet, where I salah, I put her outside my house and I change my clothes and do ghusul and wudu. I think I’ll always have dogs, mine is essentially a lap dog, but she acts as a guard.
Dogs have served humans for the last 30,000 years. There is no other animal with the loyalty and devotion to humans that dogs have. Their faithfulness and loyalty is an example even to humans. They save human lives in the military and police, they lay down their lives as search and rescue dogs, the make life bearable for countless blind and disabled people. We owe dogs an immense gratitude that we can never repay. It’s time to start treating them with compassion after all they have given us.
Who said dog not allowed. No were in the Qur'an say anything bad about dog. Instead Qur'an says good things off dogs. Haadith is man's word Qur'an is Allah SWT word. Ibn Maajah (3640) narrated from ‘Ali ibn Abi Taalib (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The angels do not enter a house in which there is a dog or an image.” Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Ibn Maajah. Muslim (2978) narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever keeps a dog that is not a dog for hunting, herding livestock or farming, two qiraats will be deducted from his reward each day.” Muslim (2943) narrated from ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever keeps a dog, except a dog for herding livestock or a dog for hunting, a qiraat will be deducted from his good deeds each day.” ‘Abd-Allaah said: Abu Hurayrah said: Or a dog for farming. Al-Bukhaari (2145) narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever keeps a dog, a qiraat from his good deeds will be deducted every day, except a dog for farming or herding livestock.”

I am a new muslim convert. I converted to Islam on 1st Ramadan. Everything is going extremely fine but there is one concern. I have a pet dog at my home and many of my muslim friends say that give your dog to shelter or my salah would not be accepted at all. And one of my friend say that if dogs saliva touches me once then i am impure for 40 days. So in this 40 days none of my prayers and duas and charities will hold no meaning at all... I am really depressed because of this so please can you suggest me what is right???
It's nothing like that...please don't take info.from any tom dick and Harry...the hadith says to wash your dish 7 times if the dog ate in it . It no where says u become impure by touching a dog cause we use dogs for guarding,hunting etc and that is permissable so how your prayers not excepted? Please do your own research
in the Quran, surah Kahf (Cave) talks about the noble dog that accompanied the companions of the cave. just another case of Quran (God's) ISLAM vs Mullah's "islam"...

Everyone here saying its ok to keep a dog. It is okay to keep a dog outside for protection and for people who need guide dogs. Keeping an untrained dog inside your house cause impurity everywhere in the house and your good deeds will be deducted everyday staying and praying in a an unclean place. I'm just saying that i love Allah more than everything. And Dogs life is not important for me than my family and other humans. . I always feed street dogs and that is a good deed. But i do not own one because i don't need one. So i am not judging someone who owns a dog. Im just advising. I choose Allah over dogs
God never forbade dogs, and all who spread Hadith are ascribing lies unto The Most High. God states in the Quran repeatedly that the prophet cannot forbid what God has not forbidden, that we should make no distinction between any of the prophets, and that the Quran is complete guidance for the believers. God even goes so far as to say if the Quran were from other than God you would find much contradiction therein, and He asks what Hadith other than this will they follow? He even calls out the prophet in 66:1 within the Quran to ask the prophet why he forbade what God had not forbidden, seeking to impress his wives: “O Prophet! Why holdest thou to be forbidden that which Allah has made lawful to thee? Thou seekest to please thy consorts. But Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” So why emphasize Muhammad and follow hearsay supposedly attributed to him (Hadith), when God has made clear what He has commanded and forbidden in the Quran? God never forbade dogs. What many scholars of “Islam” do is bend the Quran to follow the traditions of a religion that sprouted up after the Quran’s revelation, but which is nowhere to be found within the Quran itself. The Quran tells us to follow submission as doctrine. The modern religion of Islam and its pillars all come from the Hadith. Will you not use reason? Glory be to God and high is He above what they ascribe to Him.

I think men can have anger, corruption, and bad in their hearts which could have influence on the words or hadith that have come from them. DOGS are God's creatures, and they are a best friend to man. GOD does not stand for anything but love, mercy, life. Just like other religions, it was always men who corrupted them for their own gains or anger, feel what is in your heart to be good, not what someone else tells you. I feel dogs save me from anxiety, protect me and have even saved my life from bad men, if the dogs weren't in the room with me, I don't know if I would be alive here with my children. In my heart, they make my heart feel more light and good. I won't believe men, I will believe everything God is, and that is merciful, loving and the giver of life.
Prophet pbuh said they can not be kept as pet. End of stories we will not keep them as pet. Thats call Iman. When you start reasoning against decisions you will end up eating pork, eating snakes etc. islam has prohibited certain things and clearly it is to find out who is believers and who is not. When you start arguing and find ways around a hadith or quranic statement you have start asking how strong is your iman. And how will you answer on the day of judgement when you will be asked why didnt you obey?
2:15 if you look for science regarding dogs being dirty, and compare it to cats… you’ll find cats are more dirty, at least in the west, because they’re more likely to be street animals. So yes. In Islamic nations where dogs aren’t allowed to be inside of homes, they will be more dirty. But that’s the fault of the culture, not the dog.
In Quran it says the Dog who watched the brothers in the cave while they sleepd will inshallah enter Janna (Paradise). There is not one single verse against dogs. Plus Allah swt allowed Dogs for practical reasons like hunting, guarding animals and farming. This tells us dogs are allowed for guarding a house. Or to help a blind man. And Allah swt knows best.
I have a dog myself as a pet ..and I'm trying to figure it out ...all I know is that when jibril (as) came to the prophet (pbuh) one time there was a dog inside his house , the angle jibril (as) wouldnt enter the house until the prophet (pbuh ) removed the dog ....the exact reason for that idk ..and I think it's unknown
@@marwa4533 Is that in the Quran or in a hadith? Sura 18 The Cave, they had a dog with them. Allah never said in the Quran that Dogs are bad or prohibited or that we have to stay away from them. I don't understand why angel Gabriel didn't want to enter the house because Dog. Dogs are another creation of the Almaigty, he never said anything negative about dogs. I think this story about dogs prohibitions, is just another invention from someone who hated dogs back in the time when hadith were written down way after Quran and Prophet pbuh passing.

We don’t prohibit them, they are creation of Allah and we have to follow guidelines of Allah. We love dogs and they are great protectors so we keep them but outside of our homes and we feed them for their sustenance. Not keeping them in our homes doesn’t mean we prohibit them, their tongues are impure, that doesn’t mean we abandon them, it’s just their physical characteristic that we need to avoid touching.

Dogs are amazing creatures. You get them vaccinated and trained. We don't live in times of 7th century Mecca. Our medical field has drastically improved. There is no hate. Dogs are creatures of god and they should be treated with respect. However dogs are not the cleanest animals and this is a fact. Without a proper owner dogs can also grow to be very aggressive. I gave my lovely dog to my parents, I visit my cute dog every week. If you would watch the entire video you will realize there is no hate. Abusing animals is haram and should never happen! Hating a creature if god is hating His creation. We do not hate dogs, we can simple not keep them in our house.

@Abdul-Haqq please explain to me how I’m supposed to keep a guard dog if all guard dogs are short haired (well all the good ones) I’m talking about dobermans pit bulls presa Canario German shepherds they can’t handle the cold German shepherds can but not for long they have to come inside at some point and I need a good guard dog and a Doberman is a the perfect fit but the problem is he can’t stay inside and they absolutely hate the cold and I don’t live on a farm so I don’t want a sheep guarding dog I live in a sort of dangerous street and I need a brave guard dog like I said since these guard dogs hate the cold how in the hell are we supposed to keep one “make him a comfortable home” you might say dobermans hate being separated from their owners for more then 8 hours they cannot stand it and this can lead to aggressive and destructive behavior and it could die in the cold forget German shepherds they need training to guard which is so expensive protection training is like 1000 per week while a Doberman and the rest of the short haired guard dogs know how to guard naturally I would buy a husky but they are way to friendly and won’t guard and they will greet an intruder with a smile a Doberman will protect without training and anybody who sees a Doberman will runaway of fear so please unless you have any ideas for me how am I supposed to keep a guard dog when all the good ones are short haired and if I mess with protection training myself like if I were to get a German shepherd and if I were to mess with protection training then I would have a loaded weapon who will kill anybody he feels like killing so I won’t mess with protection training so if you have any ideas for me please put them down :).
@@whoareyou1048 You should research the Maliki school of thought regarding keeping a dog. It is the most lenient of the schools with regards to keeping a dog, and Imam Maliki's reasoning. I haven't had one person prove to me that says keeping a dog is Haram. There is no verse in the Quran or hadith that says it's haram. I think that Allah would have made it know to us if it was. It's a cultural reason for not having dogs, but yet people pray in the same room with a cat litter box. I'm told they are impure, but i can change my clothes for prayer, and also pray in a separate room. I also live in a very cold area and it is illegal to keep a dog outside in the winter since it is below freezing and the dog would die.

It's simple keeping a Dog as a pet is haram, this is not something of a difference of opinion, all Islamic Scholars throughout history have said keeping a dog is haram except under special circumstances. Many people in the comments saying this isn't mentioned in the Quran so they dont need to follow it. What about all the prophecies, minor and major signs in Hadith?? Were all those just made up by random people and just happened to have come true?? They don't issue Fatwas from purely off how they feel without looking at the evidences. Just like the Catholic Church would give indulgences and claim it was a part of their religion, what you are quoting is not the direct word of Allah himself, and or potentially the Prophets. The Quran has numerous stories shedding dogs in a positive light, and there are versions of what you quote that say stories of prostitutes being forgiven for helping dying dogs.
