Lmfao ‘we don’t need him’ Yes we certainly do. Ant is the only self creator on the team. We need more ball handlers. KJ can get his own shot, drive to the basket, and create for others. He also rebounds better than wings 6-7 inches taller than him.
Minnesota needs to do two things: trade Gobert and Conley, pick up Malik Monk and another independent scorer or shooter. If they don't get rid of Gobert and upgrade from Conley they will continue getting whooped in the Conference finals or even earlier. You cannot have one-dimensional players in the league and win a ring. Gobert demonstrated clearly that he is a net LIABILITY because he's so useless on offense. He makes everything harder because he clogs the floor and allows defenses to essentially play 5 on 4 every time on defense. His shot-blocking only barely makes up for his lack of agility and lateral movement. Conley is good but he can't score enough to match the firepower of the rest of the West or Boston, plus he's old. Malik Monk would be the perfect long-term solution. This Colorado kid would be perfect too.
I think we're still okay with Conley, but having Gobert is just a massive liability offensively. Unless he goes & and improves offensively this off season, we can't ever win a chip with him. Playing offense is already hard enough. We don't need to make it any harder. Gobert was amazing but I think that's all there is with him. Having NAZ & KAT as 2 bigs as starter with another big off the bench should be enough for that spot. If he was cheaper would make sense but paying him $50 mil. Just not worth it

@@danielsharp3683 the information is publicly available lol. Gobert’s net rating was +17 in the playoffs this year. The internet would be a much better place if people like you would do a second of research before expressing a poorly formed opinion.
