As a Qatari I’m proud of what happened. I don’t know when will the westerners realize that their values aren’t universal. There are other cultures with different values that should be equally respected. Let’s not forget that the West is not the spokesperson for humanity.

I'm not Muslim and don't know what it's like to live in a Middle Eastern country but we are far too judgemental in the West. We should correct our own shortcomings before we try and enforce our own views or laws on others.

Let me just clarify something i think needs to be clarified here. On at least 3 occasions I’ve seen them accuse Al Andalusi for whataboutery. Clearly they have no clue what whataboutery is, whataboutery means that you justify one problem by pointing at another problem. That’s not what Al Andalusi is doing at all.. So one of the examples is the issue of a woman being stoned, when Al Andalusi responded with the fact that women are being raped in the UK. Al Andalusi is not arguing that the stoning of the woman is fine because rape is happening in the UK, what he’s actually arguing is that if crimes against women in Qatar defines Islam, then they should equally define Western values based on crimes against women in UK. He simply exposed their hypocrisy, nothing to do with whataboutery. But I don’t think they’re bright enough to understand that..

Someone give Abdullah a medal for having the patience, self control and fortitude in the face of such hypocrisy, being constantly interrupted, not being allowed to make his point without someone attacking him, and so calmly and gracefully answering them. I had to constantly pause every few minutes to take a deep breath because the way the debate was conducted, riled me so much and made me so angry, hard to imagine what he must've felt like on the spot during the unfair one sided heavily handed debate. I have a short temper, and especially in debates, I believe when you have such important discussions, you should be respectful and polite enough to let everyone have their proper turn and have the opportunity to speak properly. When you're in a 4 vs 1 debate and are being constantly interrupted, if I imagine myself in his shoes, I'd have punched each of them in the mouth just to shut them up for a few minutes while I made my point 😂... IF he'd being given a fair opportunity to address each of the points put on him without the constant interruption, he'd have fairly easily dismantled their points, which is why the host and the accompanied guests seemed to need to pile up on Abdullah. Hats off to the man.

As an Indian, I must say that the Niqab is worn by Muslim women by choice across India and Pakistan while it is not required by law. To assume that women wear Islamic clothing because a man is requiring them to is an insult to women's intelligence.

I haven't been to Saudi and Iran so idk but from what I've heard, it seems like they have strict laws on women. As a Qatari woman living in Qatar I can say that we have no issues with our rights. I'm 25 and I've never felt restricted by the laws here. I feel pretty free. I guess whether you feel restricted or not would depend on how strict your parents are? In this video they make it seem like Qatar is a dangerous place to be which cannot be farther from the truth. First it was just about the migrant workers (no problem talking about it), but now they're bringing women's rights into it when nobody here is complaining! They're either ignorant or purposely trying to add drama and paint a negative picture, or both.

Everyones complaining that the muslim guy keeps interrupting them but what I see is that, they don’t want give him a chance to finish his sentences.🤔

Qatar has certainly abused migrant worker's human rights, however there are many other countries which have done worser human rights abuses like Israel, America, China, UK, France, India, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, UAE and Iran.

They want people to have their own rights to their belief but not want the Qatar government to have their rights to their beliefs. I really hope that every Muslim watches closely the real face of European without the gentleness veneer. This is good because we will use this campaign against Qatar to slap the face of Western lovers between us.
