Should Shamans Be Certified, Licensed Or Formally Qualified? | Shamanic Awakening For Modern Shamans 

As a born medium and as a shaman later all my education is from my spirits..ii couldn't pay for it..but it's pure and truth..as my spirits said the shaman has no shape..a piece of paper is for the human eyes..but everyone know better for him soul ..from your video with the 10paradigm of a shaman 1,2, and 3 are pure and deep and it's like this.. The only real reason I can see for a person to be certified/licensed is to be able to charge money. In my interpretation of the “spirit world” it is not about monetary gain , if a healer wants to get paid…..become a doctor. I mow lawns for my pay check, I work for free when I’m being a fellow human helping another.

I’ve been trying to find a mentor, very difficult. I’m grateful I found your page- I felt like I was alone and didn’t k ow where to turn. Thank you again for your bravery in posting also.

Interesting! When I first had my awakening last year, initially I'd never heard of a shaman, then the concept came into my awareness and straight away I wanted to get certified or acknowledged etc. Now after some time on the path, I realise that I don't choose the path, the path chose me and I am here on earth school learning every single. That being said I don't see any issue with training in modalities and courses that will help you help others, for example I am training in Reiki and have aspirations to complete a post grad counselling degree. All the while I continue on the path of the inner worlds and those that cross my path on the way and need a helping hand, then I help them 🤗🙏

I am a shaman. I was called to this. I saught the knowledge. The more I learned, the more I evolved into this being. As a humanitarian, I encourage all of you to do what resonates with your soul, what you feel in alignment to do. I certainly make a living being a blessing. I call it whatever the client needs to call it. No doubt, they always get more than they paid for. We change each other’s lives.

I totally agree and understand your viewpoint. Although I have taken formal classes, I do not have a business or clients and feel the need for formal certification.. I am very fortunate to work with spirit and help and heal as directed. I initially thought at the beginning that what I was doing was totally my imagination. It wasn't until I found friends (psychic/mediums) who validated my work and could actually see me as I was shamanic journeying that I realized that this was actually real. Your videos are very clear and understandable and I believe extremely helpful for anyone looking into the shamanic world.

I can see benefits of finding a mentor and studying with others especially for the purposes of practicing and networking and getting helpful insights but do i think it's a must? No. You will get most guidance from spirit but for many people on the path its going to be helpful to have support along the way in the physical, as well. Much love to you and what you do. I been studying shamanism, but I cant fine a mentor so I've been studying by myself.

I think the idea of earning a certificate or certification is the idea who or whom is going to be the official that awards said certification / certificate. So much of a Shamanic / Medicine Person / etc pathway is driven by lessons from the spirit world, lessons or guidance from our allies and even from the divinities that we are bound to or honor. Then there is the actual "People" we will be called upon to aide. Their own society, culture and ethics will dictate whether we are qualified or not within their own perceptions. That is not to say it is not beneficial to experience and be exposed to other methodologies that are used. Hedge riders (witchcraft) employ certain forms of rituals or practices to gain access to the spirit world. Some very different from what might be called shamanic journey techniques. It's like drumming it a fairly common method for achieving the proper mental attitude and energy state. Yet for me it seldom works and more often than not actually hampers me. Yet regression via lights flashing is one I've used quite often. Sensory deprivation is another method that I have used and know others that have used. Of course there are the plant allies who can be used but that is a topic unto itself I think. I want to add I am finding your video's very high quality and of benefit to watch / listen to. Well done.

Hi, I agree with you anyway I believe also that the certification might be a type of recognition to yourself. Of course that human beings might not follow the path as they "should" that's the road that each of us chooses. How do you suggest that I find an honest and thruthful shaman?
