I've had a Fountain, a Formula and a Baja before and powerboats are fun, but for the way you use boats I don't think you will like it, a yacht is better, although if you and Rickard split usage of both boats it might be okay. I'd get a much cheaper used boat also, only suckers buy powerboats new. LOL. Also the red bag is the dopest one yet.

Buy the swedish boat that richard recomended.

Jon and Benji, I recommend maybe once/twice a month doing some sort of Value based content where you sit down or run or whatever, you share tips for business, video editing, photography, travel tips, tips for collabing, must see places in Monaco/Marbella and around the world, diversifying your content just enough to add new value to your audience and bring in a bigger audience. I know you have done occasional Q&As but something more topic specific and you go in-depth. Like “how to name your business, since the way you named DB is quite interesting, or My color grading tips or How to get started vlogging. You have a lot of experience and value to give, I think this will grow your channel a lot as well. Don’t worry about competition, look at Peter McKinnon, he shares all his secrets and tips and yet no one is just like Peter McKinnon, he just gets better. Just an idea, hope this doesn’t get buried in the comments. Thumbs up if you agree!!

I know that a 100mph boat is really cool to have and fun but i think that it is way better to have a more yacht boat like Richards Princess or an Mangusta or something because then you can have your own boat when you are on the Ibiza/formentera trip and then have a small fast boat as a tender

I agree that a motor-yacht is more of a comfortable option and you can easily overnight in different ports or anchor up in a cove. Speedboats are more adrenaline pleasing but remember that the downside is what I explained above. If you did go the route of the speedboat in the end I think that there are far better options such as Donzi, Fountain, Skater, Outerlimits, Cigarette and Hustler to name a few!! Maybe ask some people who do the Swedish Poker Runs for some advice. The back seats of that boat looked a bit lethal for your back passengers with that amount of exposed metal if bouncing from wave to wave at high speeds!

For the G add 2 cleats to the teak board on top of the wind screen and 2 in the back. That will maintain the boaty style of teak boarding on your G and also serve as attaching points for custom cut (DIY) rain & dust cover (cheap to make from tarp or light cover). Small light covers and tarps already have attaching points for ropes so you can actually attach it to cleats like you do with boats. Also if you want to go a bit overkill I'd add 2 miniature fenders to the tarp on each side to act as weight on the cover and to keep the theme up. This idea only works when parked but that also keeps the interior from getting dusty when parked for longer periods of time. It's fun idea, cheap and actually works.

That "smooth ride" of the speed boat it is just because of the calm waters you tested it in. If you hit the open sea, and Janni is sunbathing in the back, you will literally lost your wife in the sea after the first bump haha! And I don´t think you wanna do that! The Wallys look better! Keep it up Jon!

6:56 mark - I find it super interesting that the engines are staggered as opposed to sitting side-by-side. Save on space and bet there’s a distribution factor with weight. So sick, ill, 🔥, whatever it’s killing it!!!🤣

We had a friend in the race club that made a custom stainless steel hull. Every time he stuffed the boat he had to use huge jacks and boards inside the boat to fix the hull. He place two 650 hp custom built monster engine inside for a 90 mile an hour rush. I never went 90 on his boat or any other boat though. By the way you were traveling on a river with absolutely 0 chop. Trust me with a bit of chop at speeds above 60 or so the boats may come out of the water. Just something to think about.

These things are nuts, and their fast but they're really no use when it comes do doing anything other than being quicker than the next guy. You love the trips on time out/yachts because it is luxurious and comfortable and still gets you places fast. I'd be re-assessing! Even team overkill might regret the purely for speed option! Haha

You should check out Nor-Tech. They are a Norwegian boat manufacturer based in Florida that makes really fast boats. The Nor-Tech 5200 Roadster with the top engine will go over 150 knots!

My father a few friends and I used to race in the 90's at over 80 miles an hour in a CAT. It had 3 45o hp outboards mounted on the back. We were in it testing on Lake Erie behind a breakwall and hit 87 miles an hours. Totally awesome experience scary as hell for someone who is not used to it.

great vlog lads, Jon have you ever seen or heard of the "southern 80" ski race in Australia ? 80 KM distance in a river 128 bends in the river and the times are sub 30 minutes, with two skiers out the back. This race is real hard core. The boats are wicked, top speed 140 mph.@jonolsson

Jon, you need a boat 100%, but listen to Janni! Boats like that are fantastic fun for sure, but completely useless for properly enjoying what the med has to offer. Get something that is closer to the RS6 instead of the Rebellion (I know, you should never compare cars with boats, but there you go :)). Loving your work, keep smiling!

Fastest I've been on a boat is 140mph!! If you really want to check out some crazy customization and speed look at DCB Dave's Custom Boats, they're based out of America but with your creativity, I'm sure you could make something crazy! I have a 26 ft with 800hp but a friend of mine has a 36 ft with two 1325hp motors! So insane! Love this content!
