Yes, there is. Faith is not in nothing; no one has faith in nothing. It is belief in Truth that has not been made fully manifest. The Bible states it as "evidence of things not seen".
@@wprandall2452 It always makes me chuckle to see the clergy squirm and mutate their "beliefs" to fit their god into any form of relevance. I bet you disagree with loads of statements made in the bible and yet you still call yourself a christian.. At least we don't murder scientists when they prove the bible wrong anymore.
@@stonehengemaca You're just making up anything to throw at Christians. You're not being objective. very few things have I disagreed with the Bible about. Maybe some minor points that I didn't know until I learned more and become wiser. God puts the answers in the Bible.
@@wprandall2452 You don't have to make anything up to throw at christians. And christians don't own a monopoly on believing crazy religious things. There's nothing special about christians. You were just born in that part of the world. if you were born somewhere else you'd reject the god you worship now and follow another one. All religion is man made and therefore has its faults and mistakes. Its obvious the bible is comprised of men that had the world view of the middle east over 2000 years ago. They even stole from more ancient texts and hashed it together. To think it is the word of god is insane. He knew so little about the universe he apparently created in 6 days. It's a children's book! Christianity is the least genuine of all religions as it was a tool to erase pagan gods and their festivals.
Infinite dilution does not destroy the molecules from flower extracts or whatever in the solution simply because in keeping with the principle of conservation of mass even at very high dilution those potent molecules would remain in solution though in a highly hydrated state instead of disappearing as critics of homeopathy point out....
here's some quick maths if you are still interested. 200C homeopathic solution means it's diluted 1/100, 200 times: 100^200 = 10^400, which means for a single "potent" molecule, we have 10^400 molecules of water. a molecule of water is about 10^-29m³ in volume, thus 10^400 molecules of water have 10^371m³ volume. the volume of the universe is 10^80m³, thus, if a solution contained a single potent molecule, it's volume would have to be 10^291 universes.
It's not that anyone thinks the molecules have been converted into energy. It's that the chances of any of them still being in the substance after it's been diluted _two hundred times_ is basically zero. What you are talking about is essentially a statistical impossibility. There's more chance of the molecule spontaneously fluctuating into existence through random motion than there is of finding even a single 'original'(whatever that means) molecule in it. There is the famous parable of the king meeting the original inventor of chess, and granting him any reward he wants for creating such a popular and fascinating game - and the inventor simply asks for a chess board, and for a single grain of rice to be placed on the first square, two grains on the second, four on the third, and for the pattern to go in such a way until the board is covered. The king, because he's an utter moron(he might be the same king/emperor who bought the invisible clothes off that tailor), accedes to the request, before eventually discovering that by the 64th square on the chessboard he will have to provide *9,223,372,036,854,775,808* rice grains to the civilian. That's nine quintillion grains of rice. Now bear in mind that that is just 64 doublings. The dilution process(halving instead of doubling, but the principle is the same) in homeopathy often involves halving the substance 200 times in a row. The resultant numbers when you deal with absurdities like that are so stupidly enormous that it's not worth either of our time for me to write them down. Halved...two hundred times. If the chessboard parable didn't give you a flavour of how preposterous the idea of dilution is in homoepathy then just take my word for it: there is nothing left of the original substance in that 200 dilution homeopathy stuff. Absolutely nothing. So it's absurd. Homeopaths basically _take a substance that doesn't make you better* ...and then they make it disappear._ Then they hand you some tap water and charge you money for it. It is a kind of toll booth that only stupid people can see. *if it did it'd be medicine rather than some kind of 'natural remedy'
LOL What? Knowing you believe something is a tautology, it doesn't mean what they believe is actually true! Science can demonstrate what we know which is something religion has never done.
science and "alternative science" both come across as privileging the elite, that is the problem. the one guy who supports alternative science seems to not trust mainstream science because of the privileging of elites over common people, despite him failing to realize alternative science makes big cash over scams. poor thing.
