I bought this year's edition to avoid having a full screen and zero physical buttons. Knowing that screen lead times are 4-6 months out (or were), I wanted to get the last year of physical buttons as a precaution. I absolutely love it so far with less than 1k miles still, and Primitive scuff plates! Such a great and beautiful ride!
you guys are right. literally turned away from the RS, Crosstrek, and waiting for a 2025 model purely to have physical buttons still. switched from a 2021 bmw believe it or not. Using android auto i dont really notice the shitty screen lag as I just use the speech command feature for most everything.
Thanks for a fair and measured review. I've had a 2023 Forester Wilderness for 15 months now ( current mileage is 14,033). I've never owned a " performance" vehicle, but I find the powertrain, with the Wilderness tuned CVT is more than powerful enough. When I want to leave the traffic in the dirt, I put the CVT in manual mode and use the paddle shifters and believe me I get off the dime mighty quickly. The Sports Plus mode works very well to keep this 3,500 pound baby spiffy, too. I haven't had the chance to really stress the vehicle off road, but others have ( e.g. Sarah-n-tuned), and it beats EVERY crossover out there and is competitive--if not quite as robust--as the Toyota Forerunner. No, I'm not bringing my jewel to MOAB, but then I would never take a vehicle I cared about rock climbing just for the fun of it. Frankly, so far it's an AWESOME car--my favorite of the 36 that I've so far owned in my 76 year old lifetime.
No Wilderness in the 2025 lineup. Hopefully we will see it on the 2026 lineup. I’m looking forward to seeing it. Love the 2025 Forester but not wild about the grille….hope they do a special grill,for the new Wilderness
Dude everything has gotten way too expensive.. a Chevy Malibu use to start off at $12k now they’re like $24k Kia use to be a $6-8k car look at them now
I wish they would have cladded the whole car. I bought my ‘24 wilderness forester on Memorial Day. And a day and a half later it got hit by a hail storm. Got it for a great price though 👍
