I had a 1025R for 2 years. it did everything I asked it to, and more! For an entry level tractor, it exceeds what the average homeowners needs are, and adequate for rural use. It handled lake affect drifting snow well! The cab woulda been been well deserved! An accurate and informed video! Good job!

Thank you! I do wish we had a cab. Maine winters are tough and I'm getting soft in my old age! LOL I am glad you enjoyed the video!

I like the twin touch pedals over the Kubota. That made the difference for me, I have a new 1025R. I use mine to aerate lawns. The tractor is extremely maneuverable.

It's funny how small things like that will tip the scale, but I was the same way. I am glad you liked the video!

Glad I got mine in 18 , hasn't let me down, sold my 10 acres, kept the tractor and attachments !

If I could like the video more than once, the "super awesome mustache" comment would have earned an extra like. I laughed.

The review you've given is like what Jeff Watkins provided on his channel regarding his older 1026R. Tim of TTWT has a cab for his 1025R which can be removed after March. Your review is also a good one for the 2025R since it's the same tractor basically. Part of me wants to get a 1025, but the 2032 would get me more stuff to do.

It looks like you could use a small utility trailer to haul mulch with you, so you don't have to mach so many trips back to the mulch pile. A small trailer from JD is only $299. Of course any trailer would work.

Good information! Looking for a tractor for my Tree Farm.

This works well for me. Fits the rows, but has the power to do big things. Inevitably I would like a bigger one, but I don't plan on getting rid of this one anytime soon.

I am glad you like it. Some of the reasons you mentioned were some of the reasons I just purchased a 1026R.

You need a hydraulic dump trailer to haul you wood chips. Mine carries a yard. Not too much when filled with dirt.

Unless you’re going to buy a 2 or 3 series, you should save your money and just get the 1023E

We thought about it, and I would like to have a 3 or 4 series now to compliment the 1 series. I have nothing to really compare to however.

Do you mind if you tell us the price? I’m confused, because it’s way different from a dealer to an other with basic attachment ( loader) Thank you

I think it was right around $23,500 that was with a 54inch mower, bucket and front mount blower.

Always curious to what other state sell this for. I’m in Washington abd just got mine for 28,000 after taxes with the loaders bucket and backhoe.

There are some serious design flaws with that goofy roll bar and is actually the thing that killed the deal for me.

It's down most of the time these days. The fields are fairly flat. I suppose I'm asking for trouble though.

Glad you like it but mine was a huge mistake. A kubota dealer took it on trade for demonstration purposes and gave me what I would have sold it outright for and I moved up a series to the b2650 with factory cab. I should have done that to start with. A list of issues with the 1025r like floppy bucket and droopy bucket syndrome , the 3 point wouldn't hold a load, and it wouldn't start well in the winter time. To many grease zerks, mower scalped my yard bad, and many more. Deere needs that auto connect to grease the drive train every 10 hours. The front drive shift isn't even fully engaged on the splines at the rear end. Very poor design.

There are times when I wish I had a bigger one. Eventually I will need one for the Tree Farm, but I would like to keep the 1025R to at lease bush hog in between the rows. Snow blowing yesterday was brutal, and I am not sure what I was thinking when I thought I wouldn't need a cab in the winter. Overall I am happy, I haven't had the issues with the bucket that others have, nor the 3 point hitch. I also think any tractor is better than no tractor. I am glad you commented. Thank you for your thoughts.

If the mower scalped your yard it was probably too wide and an un-even yard
@mikezahnow1605
@mikezahnow1605 2 года назад
@@Will-tm5bj makes no difference if its an uneven yard. My Kubota doesn't scalp my yard.
@Will-tm5bj
@Will-tm5bj 2 года назад
@@mikezahnow1605 actually deck size does make a difference (I don't care what she says🤣🤣) with scalping on uneaven yards Honestly I think a belly mower on any tractor is crazy anyway, just because of all that weight. my jd zero turn weighs 975 lbs I wouldn't want any heavier than that this thing already leaves its mark

Can't recommend wheel spacers enough! Better stability with the FEL and less roll during transport.

Love my 1025r! I recommend dropping the wood chips on the ground with the bucket and then spreading with a bow rake. That seems a little easier for me anyway!
@QuinnsTreeFarm

There are so many ways to do things! What I would love is some sort of spreader that I could just run up and down the rows with.

Wow !!! I’ve never seen a situation like that 😮. I would leave the roots and just apply a generous amount of wood chips around the tree. Sun compact tractor only 4’ wide, nice.
